A 19th century Western. Chon Wang is a clumsy Imperial Guard to the Emperor of China. When Princess Pei Pei is kidnapped from the Forbidden City, Wang feels personally responsible and insists on joining the guards sent to rescue the Princess, who has been whisked away to the United States. In Nevada and hot on the trail of the kidnappers, Wang is separated from the group and soon finds himself an unlikely partner with Roy O'Bannon, a small time robber with delusions of grandeur. Together, the two forge onto one misadventure after another.

This comedy has no wooden acting, some very funny and stains
Fighting great trick by Jackie Chan. This was my first Jackie Chan movie,
And I liked enough to try another - probably the sequel, Shanghai Knights
.
Inclusion of wordplay is often a reliable indication that it will be a comedy
Cojo, but are good wordplay (Shanghai Noon? Chon Wang?) Comedy is
Best.
The film fails to capture the audience for the first 15 or 20 minutes, but
then finds its way and it becomes more attractive. Many other reviewers
Comments on the chemistry between Chan and Owen Wilson (which gets better as the film moves ahead
), but there is a total lack of chemistry between Liu and
Chan.
In fact, most of the scenes with passion are those between Liu and
The downside Fong (played by Roger Yuan). And Brandon Merrill sizzles
Although nobody in the film seems to notice.
After about twenty minutes of my wife said, "the whole world is saying only his
Lines. "I lower my rating to act badly, but then gave extra credit
Chan of acrobatics, fight choreography interactive. The fight scenes are
fun and entertaining.
I gave it a 6 out of 10.
Great fun!

Jackie Chan brings his brand of physical comedy to Hollywood with another
Buddy movie. Similar to his "Rush Hour" series with Chris Tucker, Chan
This sets in the old American West and elects
Owen Wilson as his partner.

I like this better than Rush Hour. Tucker and Owen are both excellent
Chan acting in both series, but the series seems to offer Shanghai
Jackie best places for development of the fight sequences. Salons, brothels
Even natural settings are used with great success.

And make no mistake, the fight sequences are what make (or break)
Jackie Chan movie. "Anti-order" of course, means something different in a Chan film
as opposed to the normal fare of action. Instead of real violence, Jackie's
fight scenes are more Vaudeville "Pulp Fiction". More than Chaplin
Jet Li. Each fight is carefully choreographed to interact with the whole
surround it. Tables, chairs, vases, antlers, shrubs ... And the list goes
.

The success of the film Jackie Chan appears to contain a story-oriented comedy, a
Slightly handed moral message, and lots of action. Shanghai Noon
certainly offers here.

I spent the whole movie, either chuckling to myself or laughing out loud,
And had a very satisfied smile when the credits rolled.
Highly Recommended.
