The Kingdom of Alagaesia is ruled by the evil King Galbatorix, a former dragon rider that betrayed his mates and his people in his quest for power. When the orphan farm boy Eragon finds a blue stone sent by Princess Arya, he sooner realizes that it is a dragon egg. When the dragon Saphira is born, Eragon meets his mentor Brom, and becomes the dragon rider foreseen in an ancient prophecy that would set his people free from the tyrant Galbatorix. Eragon meets the rebels Varden and together they fight against the evil sorcerer Durza and the army of Galbatorix in a journey for freedom.

For a film with potentially more scope and greatness of the Lord, that even
Rings, Eragon falls completely flat due to lack brilliance acting
Terrible script and a total lack of rhythm. Only Rachel Weisz
voice acting for the dragon Saphira manages to give the film its only good
Yield while Jeremy Irons sincere performance is disappointed by the
Hammyness of his writing. The special effects are good and
The cinematography is great, the pace and path that remains is the film is way too short
for its own sake. I have not read the books that gave life to
This film, but I hope that was much better than this, because the film was
disappointment.
When I first heard that a film would be made by the book
"Eragon" by Christopher Paolini, I must say that I was very happy, and I
was even more so when I learned that will be Stefen Fangmeier
the Director. I have read the book, and thaught: "What a great film this is
going to be." Unfortunately, I was wrong. First, I would venture to say that
half of the events that occurred in the book is not displayed in
The film at all (reason: The Lord of the Rings has fewer than 400 pages and
The film takes about 3 hours; Eragon has around 500 pages and
that lasts about an hour and a half). As a result, instead of complex plot
Unpredictable fantasy you simple, one-way heading fairy tale.
The characters played very significent role in the book (like Murtagh, Ajihad
And Angela) are barely mentioned in the film, so that it becomes virtually
focused on only 3-character Eragon, Saphira and Brom.
Villanos and places lack imagination, so searching and cheap
Ordinary. Election of the players is, in my opinion, good, except
Edward Speleers. Too many "quotations" from the movie, so
kind of film becomes too theatrical.Everybody, director
not actors, but even so, I, personally, that the greatest bealive
Failure is Peter Buchman, screenwriter. Although we had a fantastic
material to work, which managed to ruin, and make a pathetic Writer
a fantastic hit. Only the bright side of the film is always better
of Class John Malkovich (King Galbatorix)
fairly solid performance by Jeremy Irons (Brom), but most of all dragon Saphira
(voice Rachel Weisz, whose capacities are very vocal
desirable level)
