I have been reading the comments on a page somewhat bemused fashion. It
seems to be divided between people who do not like the film because it is not Enough
as the original graphic novel and the people who do not like it because
has never heard of half of the characters that
are members of the League. The latter seems to me to be a silly reason to unutterably
Rejection of a movie. Nobody Can read classics? Nobody says
Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker, Robert Louis Stevenson, Jules Verne, HG Wells,
Or Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? I find hard to believe. As for the Former
- not enough, as the graphic novel, in other words - only in the way a screenwriter
Devils can accommodate the dark and twisted visions of Alan Moore in a
two-hour Hollywood movie, anyway?

I do not think you can compare anything written by Alan Moore
What ends up on the screen is apparently "based on the graphic novel".
(The same applies to BETWEEN THE HELL, which is another most people bread, and
I think it is sufficiently appreciated although the style is
Impressive. Do not even want to think about the Reaction to come
THE WATCHMEN once it goes!)

What seems to have been forgotten by most people is that this film is
About style versus substance. It is based on a graphic novel. That is
Fantasy way of saying that is based on a comic book. At that level, the film achieves
admirably. The characters are archetypes of their literary
Ancestors. They should not be, strictly speaking, human. Of course
The plot is great, practical and over the top. Hello? Are not most
comic books? Good heavens, is not the most
STAR WARS?

Do not pretend that this is a masterpiece. Making the statement that is fun
see if one approaches with a willing suspension of disbelief. For a

I was very happy with this movie. There are some who have claimed

can not have a high IQ and enjoy an imaginative and entertaining film.
For years I have enjoyed the works of Doyle, Wilde, Stevenson Stoker,
Twain Haggard, Wells, Poe, and Verne. I went in the hope that this film would
justice to their characteristics. Not. Some prefer the "original"
versions of these characters by Alan Moore. I prefer the way it
