Sequel to a movie that consistently fail to meet the standards of its predecessor
is almost axiomatic. For every brilliant in the aftermath
'Aliens' or' The Godfather II ', there are dozens of painfully lame
Heirs. This is not a surprise, however, is our own infallible
tendency to flock, lemming-like, which ensures its aftermath
Continuation of existence. Sequels make money, and that is a bad thing.
Take "Legally Blonde 2". Please.
By way of defense, let me point out that not everything is easy to find that
A film that entertains two adults, a boy aged 15 and a 12
years old. Our hopes were not high when he rented a couple of LB2
weekends ago, but we all agree that he had enjoyed the original
Theater, or at least had not actively hated. That perky little
Reese Witherspoon - how can you not kinda like her, right? After seeing
LB2, I unreservedly credit with one thing:
always a rallying point for my often-scattered family. We
Firm, united in our complete and total horror of this heinous
film. Beyond that questionable achievement, however, I am not sure
there anything positive that can be said about this movie.
Like almost every other reviewer on the planet has pointed out, the original
"Blonde" had some funny moments, most of which were supplied by Mrs
Witherspoon, managed to inject character Elle Woods, with a mix of ditziness
credible and sweet charm. Also, the strengthening of
Original movie co-star Jennifer Coolidge, who played his
Dim-bulb shtick to perfection aesthetics as Elle friend Paulette.
Of course it is one of the parcels line numbers as predictable as Oregon rain,
But Witherspoon, et al played lightly and laughter and it worked.
The sequel, however, is a terrible mixture of preachiness, offensive
Stereotypes and obviously absurd plot devices. "Legally Blonde" did
points, a helium-weight, bubbleheaded girl and make her rich
a character sympathetic. In LB2, Elle is annoying, as dipshit
Tremenda naivety and hyperactive adventures are simply painful
Support.
It is not true at the point of listing all the faults of this movie.
To do so would be to give it more thought, which obviously went to his
Creation. But I can not simply move from one aspect of the film that I found
both irritating and worrying. Viewers of the first film
Elle recall undoubtedly the Chihuahua, Bruiser. For reasons that are
continuously validated, I tend to hate cutesy animal cinematic
Sidekicks, and Bruiser was emphatically not the exception. In LB2, however,
Bruiser sexuality becomes a theme repeated
and convenient plot device. More specifically, (and Elle) Bruiser find it… (wait
Therefore)… gay.
Hilarity ensues, ad nauseum.
It is a damning testimony that 1) the writers of this movie are so
Desperate for fodder script that came with this dazzling
lame idea in the first place;
< , br> 2) played so shamelessly for laughs, and 3) that certain
Plot twists are dependent on this fact. It is a stupid, stupid an idea
Stupid, stupid movie.
I lose most of my time or yours decrying the total waste
Jennifer Coolidge in this film? What about the humiliating role of Sally Field
Congresswoman Rudd Victoria? Bob Newhart the unbearable turn as
The know-it-all hotel doorman cum political mentor. Finally, in a
Mayor scale, if we are talking about the massive suspension of disbelief is required
slightly to believe even a moment of this film
unhappy?
Nah.
I coudn't help. I loved seeing the dogs. They were so cute. I know, you
have to pay attention to the film. But I was in cutesiville with
Bruiser.
"Legally Blonde 2" is not as fun as the first. But it is still worth
Clock. I think it's a little less valued and expected. And there
Puppies! Adorable, adorable puppies! How could the pups get a grade of 4.4
?
OK, I have to remove it. OK, I am fine. I think we should see and
Judge yourselves. Or at least play Bruiser.
