Traveling raccoon con artist, RJ (Willis), arrives in a woods outside a human city in the Midwest, excited about the wonders that living near humans can bring hungry animals. What he finds, however, is an Amish-like community that is deathly afraid of humans, after their leader, Vern the tortoise (Shandling), has an encounter with human boys that terrifies him. Encouraged by RJ, however, the animals slowly venture over the hedge that separates them from the brand new suburban development that appeared over the winter while they were sleeping, and what RJ shows them is a whole new world where humans leave tin cans full of fish and other food in big canisters, ripe for the taking. As they get closer and closer to humans, however, their comfortable lives in the woods appears to be threatened...

I saw an advance of this film that shows a majority
college-age audience and the whole world was laughing throughout the movie. It
was excellent. As my friend says to the left, sometimes the film
Over the top, as well as most of the coverage, but times were some of
The most hilarious. Sequences action at the beginning of the film that had people
Rugir with laughter were crowned by small and later
Comedy tidbits were scattered throughout. Add to that the typical messages about
Family, friends, and make right and that is the formula for a great
Comedy family. The voice acting was solid, really set a fine cast.
Do not buy many animated movies, but may have to pick up this one.

While this film does not have the depth of Finding Nemo or Shrek,
It is very funny and well done by Dreamworks animation. The animation is
first level, and the animals were very entertaining to watch. The voice acting
was excellent and well cast. What I enjoyed the most about this movie
(That is not the super fun bits here and there) is the social
Review presented. It's nothing serious, but that shows how
Glotones many of us humans have become. While many of the human
Characters are exaggerations, there is a bit of truth behind each
Cartoon. My favorite is the Home Owners Association President. She
was so exaggerated (yet so realistic!) That I was not sure whether it was
Risa because it is very true to life, or if it's just outside
there.

In any case, good movie, good times, and go with good company. After some
Mediocre Dreamworks animated films, I got good again
Over the Hedge.
