(action, adventure, thriller)
A high-adrenaline tale of young climber Peter Garrett (Chris O'Donnell), who must launch a treacherous and extraordinary rescue effort up K2, the world's second highest peak. Confronting both his own limitations and the awesome power of nature's uncontrollable elements, Peter risks his life to save his sister, Annie (Robin Tunney), and her summit team (Bill Paxton and Nicholas Lea) in a race against time. The team is trapped in an icy grave at 26,000 feet - a death zone above the vertical limit of endurance where the human body cannot survive for long. Every second counts as Peter enlists the help of a crew of fellow climbers, including eccentric, reclusive mountain man Montgomery Wick (Scott Glenn), to ascend the chilling might of the world's most feared peak to save her.

I am surprised by all the hostility to this movie in IMDb. Has
I read the comments here, I would have jumped this well done and
difference between film. On the one hand, it is a pleasure to see an action movie
not involving firearms and shooting - that enough of nonsense.
Instead, the film is full of spectacular scenery, good-looking actors and actresses

Judgement and sacrifice. As to the precise details of
Climbing, I could not care less. This is not a way - to the film. And as for
The wisdom of transporting nitroglycerine through dangerous terrain,
Quit before Henri-Georges Clouzot of the masterpiece, "The Wages of Fear" or
Its excellent remake of William Friedkin, "Sorcerer." Neither one of these great films
was hampered by a questionable premise. I highly recommend
"Vertical Limit" of escapism exciting.
In this high-octane action film, three climbers make stupid decisions

. The climber danger therefore requires a ransom, which
puts more people in the mountains and at risk of dying. That's it.
The story is therefore quite thin, but the filmmakers insert all sorts of obstacles
natural and human conflicts and difficulties to rev
Action and emotion.
The film CGI creates compelling tension. We have the illusion
Scale vertical or perspective, which translates into a requisite sense of
Vertigo. The feeling that the characters could, at any time, the fall

The mountain is also nice, although sometimes wasted,
Because of the fast-paced film. The cinematography is quite good. And some
the scene of the film making transitions flow very well.
Dialogue seemed flat to me. Production and costume design are adequate.
Acting is largely irrelevant.
By far the greatest defect is the amount of realistic action. In
Plot, everything that can go wrong does go wrong, that the bad weather

least is the background music, which is irritating
Anodino. For a film set mostly in Asia, might have wished
More indigenous music combined with the majesty of the

"Vertical Limit" have an emotional backbone of its history, but that is secondary to the super
