I saw a screener copy of the film and I must say that martial arts
in the film is simply out of this world. Do not get me wrong is not
as we have not seen these things before, only this time there
unused cables. I'm not sure if I believe that if
but nobody knows for sure please write in I tried to find the cables, but did not find any
. He also wondered how someone can get a hold of the film.
One last thing, this boy, Ho-Sung has mad, mad skills. You could see
fight scenes, not like most films where the camera is
all over the place. Next better than Bruce Lee.
I caught a screening of this movie at the AFM last February.
Wow ... very impressive. I recognized the lead, Hosung Pak, after their
co-starring role with Jackie Chan in Legend of Drunken Master (the best
scenes struggle with Hosung, unfortunately, is deleted in the final cut of
Drunken Master). For those who do not know, is one of the real Hosung
Masters modern wushu. Nobody can fight with swords as possible.
I used to see him when he was a legend in the United States
martial arts tournament circuit in the late 80's, early 90. Book of Swords "
story is only one piece of standard action, but has some of the best
martial arts fight scenes I've ever seen on film. It is a pleasant change of pace
to see an action film with real action, as opposed to relying on wire
tricks, CG improvements, etc. I have heard are the release of this DVD very soon
. I will be definitely pick up a copy. The hope is Hosung
planning to leave more things soon. The martial arts / action genre
definitely needs a breath of fresh air ... hopefully movies Hosung
can make it easier for new fans shot're looking for.
