Long ago, as the Earth was emerging from the Ice Age, there were three brothers. After a bear takes the life of the oldest brother, impulsive youngest brother Kenai kills the bear in revenge, only to be transformed into a bear himself. Denahi, the middle brother, comes upon this bear and, thinking it killed Kenai, vows revenge. Now brother hunts brother and Kenai's only hope for survival is to befriend his own worst enemy, a grizzly cub named Koda. Koda main goal is to show Kenai the real meaning of brotherhood.

Unfortunately, Disney Feature Animation closed after "Home on the Range."
I am waiting for the last of Disney cartoons on DVD, but the purpose of this review is
"Brother Bear" ;. This is the second last
traditional Disney animated feature.

"Brother Bear" is a good story of love, sin, understanding, forgiveness
And the fraternity, as the title suggests. It's set in Alaska in time
Inuit and mammoths. Sitka, Kenai and Denahi are brothers
(Mayor first). After Sitka is killed by a bear, Kenai establishing
to kill the bear, while Denahi not blame the bear. Kenai kills the
"Monster", but Sitka, now a powerful spirit, Kenai becomes a bear
take the place of another and to atone for its misconduct. Denahi thought that the
Bear has killed his brother and others, and vows to locate Kenai
And kill. It's different from most other stories. The message is
course, the story simple, not confusing subplots and separately
Arguments. The film tells a story that is only a fable. Fortunately,
That is all I need.

The animation is not all that wonderful, but it is still high quality. The
Bears are represented realistically, all animals are their true forms
But for the most amusing caricature of their characteristics and habits. The
Forest, which is CG, is beautiful. The color and realism that is
Great. But, again, some of the computer effects are not working. The
movie was clearly trying to aim for something like the DreamWorks
Media and media-photographs, hand-drawn characters acting in
Environments and photo-realistic effects (ie "Spirit:
Stallion of the Cimarron "and" Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas "). Water in
"Brother Bear", in its early stages, it seems almost as bad as that in
"The Jungle Book 2." Is flat, with a bit of brilliance, unlike
Caudaloso, moving torrents of other films. Just look lame.
Not misunderstand me, this is a minor accident. The design Cg seems fantastic.

Phil Collins made the score this! What surprise! NO! The
soundtrack of "Tarzan" was a source of inspiration: the soundtrack to "Brother Bear
" is variable and. Openness is the number of Tina Turner
decent at best. Collins songs, which form the bulk of the music on
Cinema letters are stupid, but his loud voice not to save
Extremely painful. The best song by far was sung by a woman Bolivian
Choir, written by Colins. The lyrics of this song were better than

separated from his mother. This is Cub Koda. Correction: The moose are
SIDEKICKS funniest Disney in recent times. Koda is a lead player.
He's fun, very better able to survive to age chum,
And most importantly: very nice.

So, does "Brother Bear" at the height of the old classics? Honestly, no, not
. Moreover, not exactly make it impossible
To enable them to show their faces in public again. However, Disney has not
ended a creative vacuum. But if you think about it, there have been Walt
Approved? No. He would not. But what matters is not how "Brother Bear
" compared to other Disney films, but how much you enjoy it in a
just watching. True, it's fun that anyone that many of the old

I did not go out of my way to see this movie, as has been quite

has many strengths recommended, and I hope that finally finds a

I will admit a bias: I live in the Yukon Territory, and history clearly
takes place in Alaska next door (with characters named "Sitka," " Kenai, and
"Tanana," it is quite obvious). Like many other Disney films,
takes its inspiration from a traditional legend. Unlike many other Disney films,
This film succeeds remain respectful of the original
Legend.

Messages are wonderful. That love is an important thing for a man of truth
To learn. That "spirits" must be respected. Vengeance that may have
A terrible price. This film to do (mostly) without resorting to
Daffy sidekicks and sappy tugs at the heart. Yes, there
Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas reexamine their "Bob and Doug Mackenzie" functions as
The two moose, but I am not at all jarring. The story
Works.

So does the animation. This is a visually beautiful film. Yes, it
Evident for my (computer) eye that NNU Disney is doing
More use of computational techniques. Mostly, however, be used for viewing
Wonderful effect, such as making a realistic snow, or moving the point of view
through a shot. The style of animation is also very suitable for
history. And as northerner, I loved the aurora many shots; they expected
spot-on.

Not all Brother Bear worked for me, unfortunately. Phil Collins
TARZAN music was quite good, but here the majority falls flat (except perhaps
"On My Way"). A couple of numbers are approaching Category
embarassingly bad.

However, this is nowhere near enough for me to ignore this film. I propose
THE LION KING above (far above), probably a little earlier than TARZAN, and
almost the same step with higher LITTLE MERMAID, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
.
