Unjustly expelled from Harvard when a stash of cocaine is found in his possession, Matt (Elijah Wood) moves to London to live with his sister and her husband Steve (Marc Warren.) He is quickly introduced to Steve's chirpy, cock-sure younger brother Pete (Charlie Hunnam.) Initially, Pete is reluctant to get acquainted with Matt and allow him to tread around the capital city with him because he may be seen by others as an 'outsider', but after a heavy drinking session with him and his mates he quickly changes his opinion of him. On the way back from a football match, Matt is viciously accosted by a gang of Birmingham City thugs, until Pete and his friends step in and save him. It is from here that Matt learns the truth about Pete and his friends- they are football hooligans, operating the GSE (Green Street Elite) 'firm.' Initially afraid of the violence, Matt soon ends up becoming as desensitized to it as his new found friends- but as events roll on, suspicion, shocking revelations and unsettled scores combine to a devastating climax where London's most fierce football rivals- Millwall and West Ham United- are set to go head to head.

I saw a mystery in this preview for selection in the film
not know what I was going to be shown. Sometimes these previews become real
Turkeys, but fortunately that was not the case this time.

Without revealing too much of the story, Elijah Wood character gets
Expulsaron Harvard for a crime he did not commit drug.
He flies to London to visit his sister and quickly caught up in a small group
West Ham United in support of thugs called Green Street Elite.

The film recently glamorise violence, but ends in a moralising
letter. Participation history, good cinematography and decent cast
Performances make this a very enjoyable movie.

Two minor drawbacks: 1) Charlie Hunnam of "cor blimey guv'nor" accent
Ustreznejše Dick van Dyke East End of London.

2) Establish the nature of the wood that had landed in London, heard
frankly ridiculous this message through the airport PA system - "this is
A security announcement at the airport Heathrow in London. " Presumably this
be inserted for the hard of thinking.

All Americans who have commented that could prevent the British
football matches as a result of this movie, let me say that this film is fiction
- not a documentary. Hooligans are absolutely
tiny minority of the crowd at a football match and even then only
invariably fight among themselves rather than attacking innocent randomly
Members of the public (something that the film portrays accurately ).

In short, an excellent film, it's worth going to see.
As one of the privileged few who saw the world premiere at SXSW (including
Insignia holders were rejected), Hooligans sure to be one of the
spoken by the majority of films of the year.

Piero Alexander, who, according to their responses Q & A on the premiere, grew
Until between the type of man described in Hooligans. The choice of using a
America as a central character was deliberate, to run quickly into the
history and see the lifestyle in the perspective of an outsider.

As a student unfairly expelled from Harvard, Matt (Elijah Wood) decides
Being with her sister in England, and was engaged for his friendship with reluctance
Cuñado's brother Pete (Charlie Hunnam ). Wood plays deftly
Passive introverted ripe for the seduction of a group of union violence
Hunnam's charismatically surly Pete, which is presented to football

Rivals of the amateur teams.

Without glorifying violence, the full realization and likable characters
Explore the ease with which anyone can enter hooliganism. Instead of using
broadly through Matt Alexander demonstrates how even
Most people do not get caught up in mob mentality and violence,
Through the bonds of friendship and belonging.

Edgy With a soundtrack and strong performances, Hooligans
leaves a lasting impression.
