Hurly-burly is an adaptation of David Rabe's well known play about the intersecting lives of several Hollywood players and wannabes who's personal lives threaten to veer into a catastrophe more interesting than anything they're peddling to the studios.

This is definitely not a movie for everyone. Heavy drug use, sexual situations
Discomfiting, bad language, violence, a talky,
"Stagey" atmosphere, and generally despicable characters. Even
If you like the actors involved, this may not be the film for you

That said, I really liked this movie. Never saw the
Play, but when I read through it, I thought it was the most

Performances are uniformly strong. I have never been a great

The role of Donna was, I felt, disfigured by numerous cuts in
The script - which is more a victim than a cruel, my humble opinion - hence

any of the other casting choices, with the exception of Meg Ryan as
Bonnie, which apparently can not even play a stripper without

FWIW, I liked the choice of technical director of the "openness" of
scenes to put the talks on cellular phones, etc.
However, I would have willingly sacrificed some the added
Dialogue for some of the original lines are cut.
Final analysis: Can I enjoyed this movie, and plan to buy it when it comes out this
video,
Do not be fooled by the negative opinions about this movie!

This band of irony (?) Compatibility group of friends, because
Confronting each other until point where they wondered whether their
Friendships are really worth the effort! And if so, how is based on
Anything that is not self serving? And what could possibly be out of
kinship and love?

I think this movie question the value of friendship, and creates a
Sutil mirror for us to assess our own friendships.

I felt pity for all the characters in his attempt to find love through
East of friends, drugs, sex, hookers and girlfriends. That somehow
seemed hopelessly trapped in their emptiness.

Brilliantly acted film ... I am sure that the players were happy to
To cut their teeth on something involving dialog boxes and as long stage -
Drama.
