The beauty and the beast finally meet their fate back in the city of New York where the filmmaker takes and displays the ape in quest of his fame by commercial exploitation which ultimately leads to catastrophe for everyone including a playwright Jack Driscoll who falls in love with Ann and plays an unlikely hero by trying to save her from Kong and her destiny.

If it had been announced that a remake of the classic "King Kong"
being made without the name of Peter Jackson attached to it, no doubt
the public would be outraged. But after the huge success of
Lord of the Rings trilogy, it seems that the
general public has learned to trust the director Peter Jackson.
After seeing his remake of King Kong, I would say that his confidence was well placed
.

Jackson now firmly cements his name as a master filmmaker, the kind
that all aspiring directors want to be. Attention is paid to
more minute detail, showing great class in terms of production
and scale, the amount of skills they have in handling our fragile
emotions ... The man is clearly one of the most talented directors
in movie history. Jackson and certainly brings his considerable skill and touch
to show here in 'Kong'. While a director different
likely to have accelerated the story for the crew arriving at Skull Island, Jackson
takes his time with a pleasant, open-air to build their arrival, giving us a long time
to really get to know these characters, and also
time to provide a slow and true romance between the building
characters of Anne and Jack. This romance does rise to the few and rarely
weaknesses of the film ... romance scenes may seem a bit
affected and contrived at times. But when that is literally the only
complain that I do, is a very good sign for the evil movie!

visual effects are an essential part of the film, and they really needed
do well here either to sell the idea - you can safely say that
were still good enough for
overcome my already too high expectations! Surely, even in the computer world saturated
movie industry special effects of King Kong will remain successful in blowing
you. And Jackson seems to have a strange ability almost
manipulating his audience's emotions - joy, laugh, cry
him, you will be really on the edge of your seat and you
be really upset and in depth at least in one part of the film -
beware of a cave full of giant insects in Skull Island.
Seemed fair to publish a notice considering how deeply it has done well
is ...

The cast is pitch perfect, even the most minuscule parts. (
on Skull Island natives are even more terrifying than any evil orcs or
creatures in LOTR) Naomi Watts gives a wonderful heart and
performance as the innocent Ann Darrow, "the beauty that
killed beast. " And indeed, performance aside, Watts has not sought this beautiful
for a good time! While everyone has their doubts about Jack Black
of casting a while ago, proves just what his character
needed to be truly credible. Black takes his trademark manic
energy, and instead of playing for fun, ejected through Carl Denham
passion for the film industry, and his lust to provide a
to show your audience -- sometimes at the expense of their morals.
I must admit, I've never been a fan of Adrien Brody, but even managed to win
my sympathy, and it is surprisingly convincing as heroic
screenwriter Jack Driscoll. And then there is Andy Serkis ...
man is to underestimate, as their best performances have been overshadowed by
masks admittably impressive CGI, but, so the loss of credit
so richly deserve. Serkis at the same time absolutely convincing as a huge
Silverback gorilla in terms of movements and vocalizations,
still manages to bring a surprising Kong to mankind. I am
difficult to remember the last time an animal protagonist
has succeeded in capturing our hearts and emotional involvement makes it more Kong, and Serkis
definitely deserves praise for the re-creation of an iconic character
in a beautiful fashion only through movement and body language.
Also takes a hilarious supporting role as the Grizzle and trigger happy -
Nodular the cook.

Overall, I think it is safe to say that King Kong is successful at a level
completely lost to most productions these days. Rarely are our emotions
manipulated with such ease, rarely found ourselves in order to obtain
engrossed in a story that a 3 hour running time seems to have ido
too quickly and yearn for more. King Kong is an odyssey of a
movie, and the more genuine and convincing output seen since ... Well,
The Lord of The Rings. This is the classic storytelling at its peak -
not miss it!

Where oh where everything go wrong? You had a $ 200 million budget,
special effects wizards until the wazoo and Peter "LOTR" Jackson
the direction of a classic in good faith that can only benefit from a modern recount.
however, the end result - a bloated, melodramatic, self-indulgent
dog's breakfast of a movie - proves the maxim that sometimes "less is more
. "King Kong is a very simple story, in fact, almost a fable or parable
, and the drama and excitement is all in how you tell that story
. The original Kong (1933), despite its effects dated,
still remains a gripping, moving experience because of how the
story is told through the magic of cinema. Peter Jackson obviously has not seen the original
for some time because its version has all the magic
and replaces it with special effects boring and long running
sequences that have great need of editing. Why Jackson decided this stretch
simple film more than 3 hours is a question only he can answer.

There's so much wrong with this disaster, which would take a King Kong-sized
revision to describe, so I will enumerate some of the lowlights
:

; 1) More than 3 hours, the film during his too too little story. As we
tons of sequences that extend beyond its expiration date and
bogs the film. At least 45 minutes to 1 hour could have been cut
and you will not lose anything.

2) Too much melodrama between Kong and Ann Darrow. If
a love story between a giant ape and a woman makes your socks roll up and down
then you do not mind the endless scenes of Ann and Kong
looking deeply into the eyes of others , But if you do not, you'll be rolling their eyes and looking at your watch
like me.

3) Too much melodrama in connection with King Kong. Jackson's King Kong loves
sunsets, jokes and ice skating. What makes us want to feel empathy and love for Kong
we hit on the head with it and then we
beats some more. King Kong Peter is a monster, not a single Lovelorn
looking for a possible mate. Transforming Kong's king of the monsters to
misunderstood metro-sexual becomes the film
sentimental garbage.

4) poor quality CGI sequences that run on and on and on and on .... but
get the idea. CGI Kong looks great, except when the fight, but
the rest of the CGI, especially the green screens are amateurs. For a
high-budget effects movie, some of the effects sequences are really sad and
subtract from the viewing experience. "Jurassic Park" is more
10 years old and its effects are better than Kong and that is not a King Kong
point in favour.

5) Rampant stupidity. In the original, Kong fighting a T-Rex that has threatened
Ann, and defeats in a fantastic fighting sequence. Jackson has
Kong fight 3 T-Rex using a variety of martial arts moves,
was almost like seeing Neo from the Matrix Kong. On top of all outside,
the T-Rex bite Kong, but cause no harm. Not surprisingly Kong wins,
when your opponents can not hurt the outcome of the struggle is obvious.

6) Poor character development and story arc.
Apparently there is a love story between Ann Darrow and Jack Driscoll, but Ann's love for
Kong is so strong that exceeds anything that had connection with
Driscoll. So why keep it in the film? Given the changes made
Jackson at the heart of relationships, should have changed Ann and Jack's history
as well because, as is its completely idiotic. And that is just one example
, the film is full of such scripts and bad
characterization.
