Indeed, one of the biggest mistake the Academy has done is not awarding the prize
this film Best Picture. For months, he argued that while "Titanic"
was a pretty big show with special effects, script, direction and acting
all and was not mediocre. However, here we have "L.A.
Confidential. "Perfection in writing. Perfection in the right direction. Perfection in
cast. Obviously, because Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce and Kevin Spacey all
gave Oscar worthy performances, the vote was divided, and hence, none
won enough votes for a nomination.

Crowe gave an invigorating performance and Bud White, a man who knows
he is not very intelligent and has instead relied on pure Brawn
all their lives. But as the film progresses, see what you yearn to bring its strength
aside and become self-sufficient, rather than being purely
muscle to the cause of justice, which has become obscured as he has had to resort to violence and debatably
immoral method to preserve peace in Los Angeles. And yet, while
it does make us question whether going to end up on the side of
good or evil at the end of the film uncertain, we do so with sufficient empathy
he hoped that the does redeem himself in the end.

Pearce Ed Exley offered as a man who is fully established in the Medium Pure
of Justice. While his father remains in the same profession, its goals are unique
; to uphold the law without having to bend or break. And yet,
its good aspirations are certainly out of place in a corrupt organization
the police then. He turns slowly in extracting the graft. The hunger becomes
glory, whatever pulling the strings that have to in order to be promoted or
be seen in a good light of the press. And yet, it does begin to
find himself in exactly give the cause he fought against. And so,
throughout the film, struggling to overcome the instinctive nature of man
to achieve power and glory. He has to be a better man than that. And so,
the public can easily see the nobility in that. He is not perfect. But
at least tries to be.

And probably the best performance in the film comes from Spacey. In this sense,
Exley see what could have become a few years if it was not careful. Jack Vincennes
has succumb to the call of money and celebrity.
He does not care less about law or justice. All this is becoming a simple
question of vanity. And yet, begins to see through his own fault.
Undoubted Spacey's performance is the best, because he is one of those actors who
do not have to try to communicate their emotions to communicate
(or at least is not good enough to show the ropes).
I had to see this movie several times to really take on the impact of their role, and
fully absorb his character. Its key moments in the center of the film
are absolutely unforgettable. When you look in the mirror of the bar
after receiving the hundred-dollar bill, that scene is a turning point for
character. And he was able to convey the message that the scene without
say one thing. And also, when asked why he became a policeman, delivering
that the next line, like Oscar deserves on its own.

Even apart from these three performances, it would have been totally
respectable if Danny DeVito and James Cromwell has received a nomination.
In truth, this movie was one of the greatest casts ever joint captured in
screen.
Even though this film "flopped" at the box office to $ 53 million,
this can only be one of the most intelligent films that you have not seen. With great performances by a set
all-star cast and an intelligent script,
dramatic tension of this modern film-noir classic
is an absolute must see! He said through a variation on the theme of "good police, police bad"
with an angle of corruption overall, this film deals intelligently with
issues of racism, social justice and ethical manner
non-discriminatory. The development of characters is well done and the dramatic tension is
superb. If you're a fan of crime-drama and detective stories,
will not be disappointed!
