When their father dies, Ernie & Lars inherit an old house and the family string factory. Lars, the loyal son, refuses to sell out the factory, which angers his wife so she kicks him out. Ernie, who runs a five-star restaurant, is suddenly fired when a man dies in while eating there. With no other place to go, the brothers shack up at the old house, suddenly realizing the place is worth a fortune! The boys decide to fix up the place and sell it in an auction, but first, they have to get rid of a mouse living in the walls. Sounds easy enough, right? Think again...

Nathan Lane just makes me laugh ........ this movie is silly and sophomoric
but it's so inept that is hilarious, however unlikely it may be.
Christopher Walken is superb in his small role, and the mouse is magical (
takes notice that a landfill Walken in the mouth at the end of its sequence),
down to their sense of nostalgia (images of Hawaii on his wall, and old memories
) Do not dismiss this first time, you can view a few times to catch
intelligent inserts (as when Nathan Lane said "Akuna
Matata "to an Arab in the auction) Also note the beautiful
whimsical moments of labour within the chain dated garishly factory .......
much happened in this and, although there are many ridiculous things like about this movie
