Tobacco industry lobbyist Nick Naylor has a seemingly impossible task: promoting cigarette smoking in a time when the health hazards of the activity have become too plain to ignore. Nick, however, revels in his job, using argument and twisted logic to place, as often as not, his clients in the positions of either altruistic do-gooders or victims. Nick's son Joey needs to understand and respect his dad's philosophy, and Nick works hard to respond to that need without compromising his lack of values. When a beautiful news reporter betrays Nick's sexually-achieved trust, his world seems in danger of collapsing. But there's always one more coffin nail in Nick's pack.

First of all, sorry affected by the title. I could not help myself.
Secondly, "Thank You for Smoking" is in fact a darn good satire
- One of the best I have seen since "Election." Aaron Eckhart owner of the Image
along with a witty, charismatic performance as snuff
pressure group. The film is basically about his profession as he flips the
News, launches idea of a movie, dodges a subpoena, has an affair with a
Journalist (Katie Holmes), tries to spend time with his son (Cameron
Bright), and had lunch with a lobbyist alcohol (Maria Bello) and Firearms
rep (David Koechner) - where literally compare body
account. The performances are excellent in all areas, from William H.
Macy 's crusade to Senator Rob Lowe's smirking Hollywood agent who
Struts around his office in a kimono. Even Adam Brody is welcome
Lowe's hyperactive whose assistant in-joke with a co-worker received a
the biggest laughs of the film.

Most of the credit, however, must go to the first function of time
director Jason (son of Ivan) Reitman. The adaptation of Christopher Buckley's novel
, Reitman has produced a very clever script,
consistent and strong character, but without forgetting to be incredibly
Funny. The style is perfect - energetic, light-hearted with
Impeccable moment marred only by a tangental sub
including Sam Elliott is that, unfortunately, is not much fun. In general, however, the pace is
quickly enough when the laughter still coming.

Reitman is doing the unthinkable: it keeps the dark satire and fun
Until the end. While most comedies blindly lost in the
Sentimental, "Thank you" and avoids unnecessary emotional tripe -
Fortunately - avoids sermonizing about the dangers of smoking or the
failures of the political process. Eckhart and impeccable performance
Reitman wonderful screenplay anchor a perceptive comedy,
Whenever you take yours black. If you need a little cream and sugar,
"Fun With Dick and Jane" might still be in the theater dollar.
I hate to say. But this movie is going to fail at the box office. For
same token, nobody was presented to her selection. But this will be one
the most entertaining films of worship ever. Although it lacks the glam
