After their adventure at Bernie's weekend house (events of "Weekend At Bernie's") accountants/programmers oafish Larry and up-tight Richard return to New York only to be blamed by the insurance company they all worked for Bernie's theft of two million dollars and fired. Larry and Richard investigate and discover that the money is somewhere in St Thomas in the Virgin Islands. Meanwhile the Cartel Bernie was stealing the money for hires a Voodoo Queen to help them find the money. She tells Henry and Charles to steal Bernie's body and raise it from the dead to lead them to the money. Unfortunately Henry and Charles goofed and Bernie can only move when he hears music. Richard, Larry and Bernie all go to St Thomas to find the money with the aid of Claudia only to be followed by Hummel, a company security officer, who believes that Larry and Richard stole the money as well as Henry and Charles. Who will get to the money first?...

Bernie is still dead, and is now needed to provide a key signature at St. Thomas
. Larry and Richard are more than happy to escort
his former boss.
The scenery is great, pleasant music, humor and runs on a

surprising pace!

The first "weekend at Bernie's" was an absolute success. A classic comedy cult
loaded with humor, crazy situations, and keeps the audience involved
all the time. "Bernie weekend in Part II" had some great moments, but this
the film seems to go in the wrong direction.
To make a sequel pleasant, viewers need more than the first film
to establish a connection. Only Richard, Larry, and Bernie is back. Where were
many of the main characters in the first film? The Mafia boss,
bride to be kidding around with Bernie, and Gwen, who was Richard's
's love interest, should have been re-construct the story. Even some of
Bernie beach Pals (remember the nut who wanted his car?) Could have done
cameos.
This time, however, things changed for the worse. Barry Bostwick
is essentially the "new" Paulie (the man who was struck in Part I) and made a horrible
horrible job. Paulie should have returned in some way or form. Power
you say prison breakout responsibilities? Instead of Richard
have a continuing interest or love things with Gwen,
this time Larry was trying to do with the girl on the island.
Enormous mistake, since there was no chemistry or any sense that the relationship could have worked
. Larry seemed as silly to even attempt date or romantic scenes
! Not even close to credible.
I totally agree with a spectator who suggested that Terry Kiser (Bernie), which
is hilarious when he was alive, should have been in Part II in a flashback mode
game or something by Bernie life. He was great in the
first one and there was very little chance of improving the eastern part
time.
The two clowns who were chasing Bernie throughout the body and carried out the Voodoo
were terrible. The idea of voodoo was super silly, except
Bernie gives you the opportunity to move a bit and not be a lifeless corpse
all the time.
addition, the banda sound of the second part was horrible! The first one was a big party
/ Beach music. Why not exploit that? Who could forget "some
as hot / cold / you never know" the first song?
WAB fans still see it but some humor happened in the first film.
