(crime, drama, thriller)
In Seattle, the successful forensic psychiatrist and college professor Jack Gramm is in evidence since he was responsible for the condemnation of the serial killer Jon Forster, influencing the jury to sentence him to the death row. Jon accuses Jack of manipulation, inducing one witness and sister of one of his victims to testify against him. On the eve of Jon's execution, Jack receives a phone call telling him that he has only eighty-eight minutes of life, while a killer is copycatting Jon, killing women with the same "modus-operandi" and is investigated by Seattle Slayer Task Force. With the support of his former wife and associated Shelly Barnes, the FBI agent and his friend Frank Parks and his assistant Kim Cummings, Jack investigate some weird and problematic students, a security guard of the campus and the woman with whom he had one night stand.

Al Pacino is one of the few actors whose career is as decorated and
quality you would literally the biggest piece of garbage in the world
just to see what he would do the same. Over the years I've seen
boring (Simone), long and preachy (Angel in americas), and only the bad
(Oceans Thirteen, Two for the money) films, mainly because he is
Godfather, Lieutenant Frank Slade, Serpico, Scarface and
for me and always will be. The embodies the greatness and respectability, even in crap, etc.
I still going backwards. 88 Minutes is not crap however, is less than crap.
It's amateur night in the script-o-rama.
Pacino plays Dr. Jack Gramm, a university professor who also works with
the FBI as a forensic psychiatrist. When you receive a phone call telling
which has only 88 Minutes to live, you must use their powers of analysis
to save his own life. A possible suspect is Jon Forster
(Neal McDonough), a serial murderer Jack feels manipulated the jury to send him
in death row. It also includes a woman who had
night and dissatisfied with a student who
slighted in their investigation.
The screenplay by Scott Thompson Garry is shamefully extraordinarily terrible.
is so surprisingly, unconscionably bad that after the first couple
scenes, I was fascinated with the depth that he was ready to sink too.
Start with gusto the opening scene. A woman hangs by the legs
while a man cuts and their violations. It is a terrible and awkward
thing to see and, especially, is not even necessary to show. Moving
, the Pacino character meets with the investigation by the DA Jon Forster
case in the next scene. It must be intense, but the
introduction of milk and biscuits kills the momentum almost immediately.
The film is a mess with the characters in depth, all of which are underdeveloped
and watch as suspects. I understand the concept of adding
red-herring, but when the whole world of Jack'sa students to the campus security guard
seem to be hiding something, only absurd.
And why the murderer tries to kill Jack by
blow up his car and shooting at him before the 88 Minutes? And why Jack, a
Forensic Psychologist, seem so good at handling a firearm and
acting just like a policeman? And what exactly is the murderer trying to do here, Jack
framework for murder planting evidence or actually kill him? And why
Jack's teaching assistant (Alicia Witt) feels the need to educate
who want a relationship with him right in the middle of them running for their lives
? And why do we need constantly to be reminded of the death
Jack's sister flashing constantly running
a girl on a beach. And of all the names that could be collected, why on Earth he
name a character Guy LaForge. This script is just
inconsistent and nothing is credible, even the first
threat is laughable in its execution and if you think you've already reached their quota
ridiculous, just wait for the final. This is an out-of-the-park homerun
insofar as it is delayed.
I was going to revise the act, but since this is running
more than I expected, I just want to say that Pacino sleeps through the role and
receives his paycheck and Leelee Sobieski is one of the cheesiest and
phoniest people I've ever seen act. She must act in "Ogre 2" in
the Sci-Fi Channel, not anywhere close to Al Pacino. "88 Minutes" is a film of astonishing
evil. I find it difficult even to keep track of all
the ridiculous things that happen in it. It is still early, but I would be surprised if
've seen a worse movie this year.
The problem with this film is that it is made into a stereotype way.Iy
is not a bad movie, but the script and action
not have something new. The potential murderers are of a fairly large number of people and
during the film director can make you suspect almost
everyone. This is what I liked about it.And of course my favorite
Actor, Al Pacino, I am not disappointed with his bad acting.Too
was the only one who impressed me.Of has meant that the only leading role,
others have short appearances. Anyway, you do not know who is the murderer
until the latter part of the film, like many other
thrillers.Nevertheless, if you like this kind of film that must be
it.You see pass the time in fairly good shape.
