Beerfest has to be the funniest movie of the year. It is one of those
classic films you just saw with your friends and your laughter assess
face again and again because some of the scenes just trap unsuspecting.
And believe me if you like to drink and can relate in one way or another
some of these scenes drinking, you laugh hella hard. Beerfest
not trying to beat out other movies comedy brilliantly
but we will only mount humour at its own level without force-feeding the audience
comedy; naturally fun, laughs so hard that typa mourn movie, Beerfest
simply is frankly hilarious. I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone
go see this movie because it is different and is guaranteed to make you laugh
.
Caught Beerfest last night in Milwaukee to a screening.
Heffernan and Stolhanske were there to introduce it. Broken Lizard's Beerfest
is HILARIOUS. I really liked Super strength (although it is a little too self-conscious
sometimes), and the club was more fear of a
miscalculation that a misstep. This is a solid film and a superior
horror film parody to the series Scary Movie, which lost a lot of people
BL because the boys played different characters in Super
effects. It got a little too far from what people about their beings
Super troops. Charco Cruiser, his first film since 1996, is a great
little indie film with some great characters and lines just never really
joins anything special. However, it is very worthy
out of control. Beerfest is a whole different monster. It's loose and confident
ditches and dialogue too punchy for its previous films. This takes time
can get going, but when it does, the laughs come
incredibly fast. Many lines were lost in laughter.
There is not much of a plot (as expected) but is better than I would have guessed
and revolves around 2 brothers (
Stolhanske and Soter) who discovers his German descent and a setback
event that would Oktoberfest his bitch. Beerfest. The brothers are
ashamed of his long lost relatives and German accused of hiding a
old, stolen beer recipe. Upon his return to americas decide
honor his surname and train for next year's Beerfest. They
recruit three other team members (Heffernan, Chandresehkar, and Lemme).
The middle third of the film is the most fun, which is
team's training. It feels a bit long as a whole, but most of the
the film moves very fast. Although Stolhanske stole puddle as freaky
Reaky Cruiser, Heffernan stole Super effective as Farve, Lemme and stole Club
HORROR as John Jay has Chandresehkar Beerfest. That said director
can not have fun? His character is a sort of perverted sexual deviant
/ prostitute in the side which is a former champion beer games
recently lost his chops. I do not want to spoil anything else, but this
the film is completely hysterical.
Even if you do not love Super troops, this still could be for you.
There are things in all previous Broken Lizard movies that I could understand
some might think "annoying" but that style is absent
here. If you dig Broken Lizard's things, you'll love this. If you like
"Old School", you'll have a good time with Beerfest. If you like beer,
this movie is for you. If you're a fan of Adam Sandler, well, this movie
is probably too complex for you what you better stay away. Beerfest
has everything you could ever want from my comedies. Tons of laughter,
memorable characters, tons and tons of nudity, and never puss. This is a hard
"R" people. Take a look and leave any pretensions to Broken Lizard
the door.
