In the Antarctic, after an expedition with Dr. Davis McClaren (Bruce Greenwood), the sled dog trainer Jerry Shepherd (Paul Walker) has to leave the polar base with his colleagues due to the proximity of a heavy snow storm. He ties his dogs to be rescued after, but the mission is called-off and the dogs are left alone at their own fortune. For six months, Jerry tries to find a sponsor for a rescue mission while his dogs fight for survival.

I saw this movie last night and I must say it is a tremendous film.
I do not feel that the leopard seal scene that bother young children
everything. My 5 and 7 years old loved the film and there is much worse
content in children television programming every day. By all means take the
children and enjoy. (and bring the Kleenex!) While serving
Paul Walker is not the largest, Ben Affleck has become somehow has not?
addition to the real protagonists of this movie are obviously dogs. Dogs
in question appears to be as huskies, but it is clear that
least some of them are actually Alaskan Malamutes. Maya, which is the most heroic
group, and almost certainly a Malamute,
should get some kind of canine Oscar for a heartbreaking performance. If you are a dog lover
or simply long for a great adventure film,
by all means go see "Eight Below."
Begrudgingly, I went to see this movie with my daughter. It was not by my
list of films to see, but she insisted. Knowing that this was a Disney product
only made me more afraid. The schlock trying to pass as
good movies these days is ridiculous. The only side until I saw was
director, Frank Marshall. He has produced some of my favorite movies
. Let's see what you can do behind the camera.

pleasantly surprised that I think is a good word for my reaction.
Although the film was 20 minutes too long, it did keep the action and drama
all the way across. I knew the basics of history: a team in a
base in Antarctica should evacuate and can not take the dog sled
them. In the winter and the dogs are forced to survive on their own in the brutal cold
for months.

Dogs are very entertaining and her scenes with the team of science
is warm and fun, even exciting. When I expected the movie to fail
was after humans and dogs separately. Surprisingly, however, this is where
Mr Marshall seemed to set in motion. Watching the opponent
scenes take place in the guilt-ridden Paul Walker
frantically trying to find someone to help you return to Antarctica, with interlacing
the Huskies who are struggling through the harsh winter, for
scrounging food and defending each of the predators, was very emotional.

While the film is a grade A pic survival, I had not expected such a tear that is
jerk. Be forewarned. While humans and executions
(Paul Walker, Bruce Greenwood and the requisite romantic lead,
Moon Bloodgood) were mediocre at best actors canines
really steal your heart.

No Oscar material here, but as far as family films go these days, this is
over a pair. Grade: B
