"Chop Chop" Frankie Carbone (Armand Assante) has made a career out of stealing cars for the mob in Chicago. An attempted assassination by a mob boss goes badly and Frankie retaliates, only to wind up in the hands of the Feds. Frankie agrees to testify against the mobsters and his life is suddenly worthless - unless he submits to going into federal protection. The FBI gives him a new name - Howard Akers - and relocates him to a sleepy middle-class suburb in Little Rock, AR. Howard catches the attention of his lovely neighbor, Leigh (Angela Featherstone), a bored fund-raiser for a non-profit zoo whose husband, Dennis (David Lipper), is having an affair - and she knows it, but she doesn't know it's with her hot-blooded sister, Bootsie (Dina Meyer). Leigh becomes friends with the enigmatic Howard, but Dennis and Bootsie see an opportunity to earn the million-dollar bounty the mob has put on his head by turning him in to the mob.

This is a very good movie. Armand Assante is great and new actors are wonderful
. The story is good and fast. The scenery and settings are
beautiful. There are some excessively violent scenes that keeps this film from being a
cinema exhibition. We need more Armand Assante
MOVIE.
Despite the fact that this movie is not particularly "meat", would have to say that was
very entertaining. First, Armand Assante as the performance of mafioso
can never go wrong. His cocky, charismatic image of a former mobster
in the witness protection programme is certainly fascinating.
The redheaded neighbor recognized him and falls, is happy for his
as she is in dead-end marriage, and the chemistry between her and Armand
is apparent! (I was thinking ... If that can happen only to me
).
As I said, is not filled with sandy bottom extreme of "Gotti"
but it's fun and even has some of Pulp Fiction-like dark comedy scenes - that
, Armand and performance along with the sexual chemistry that this -
I feel - a watch worth!
