For a native of Louisiana, upset with what has happened to a very influential and potentially
big city, knowing that there are attempts
to show alternative forms of life for his friends-young is fraught with themselves
same hopeful. The film may seem similar to that formula, however, presents a true story in
traps such formula, without the often severely
candy coated drippings of maudlin ways. There are good performances here
, including but not limited to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who
approaches, but never completely dominates what it is a set of
future stars. This is not only a past-youth-bad movie and sports as
panacea, but a movie to see how, at times, the right intentions
can nullify the evil persecution.
I've seen a lot of people rag on this movie because it has a fighter in the same
. First Lemme say something. This is not the film football
to end football films. The Rock actually plays its part as well
well as other members of the cast. For this brush totally out of
be an injustice. I had my doubts, as well, not because of the rock, but
because there are so many films coming out of football and not much
to keep my attention. Varsity Blues and I loved the program. The Replacements
not met expectations and Remember the Titans
was only OK. and not even mention The Longest Yard remake ....
This film is certainly above average. The presentation is handled well and
Rock shows that it belongs there. It also proves that excels in the theater
rather than being the hero of action or comedy role (although I did
Enjoy the description). Hence, have a chance at the cinema and the chances are that
enjoy the entire 2 hours and some changes that this movie is.
