Manny (Ray Ramono), Sid (John Leguizamo), and Diego (Denis Leary) are currently living in a large valley surrounded by an enormously high ice wall on all sides. When a waterpark begins to form, the trio discovers that the ice wall is actually a wall that is barely holding a massive body of water that could flood the valley to nearly a mile underwater. A vulture tells them that there is a boat at the other end of the valley that may save them all, but they only have 3 days to make it or die. Manny is having trouble facing the fact that he may be the last mammoth left. Along the way, they meet Ellie (Queen Latifah), a mammoth who thinks she is a possum, and her possum brothers Crash (Sean William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck). As they begin to travel together, Manny learns, with help from Diego and Sid, that having this new mammoth with them, may not be as bad as Manny makes it out to be while they try to escape the oncoming and continually threatening flood. During their journey, Scrat the sabre-toothed squirrel has his own hilarious adventures that eventually leads to something else entirely.

Lanudo Manny the mammoth (voiced by Ray Romano), Sid the sloth (John
Leguizamo) and Diego (Denis Leary) the saber-toothed tigre
embark on another journey in "Ice Age: fusion , "the sequel to 2002 successes
Blue Sky Studios and released by 20th Century Fox. This
time, the ice is melting and a great flood threatens to drown all
animals in the valley in three days, much to the delight of vultures
who are very interested in having a buffet with corpses of people who are unfortunate enough to
not survive. The only way to survive is to get a
"ark" at the other end of the valley. Along the way,
meet Ellie (Queen Latifah), perhaps the only other mammoth left at the side of
Manny, but unfortunately, thinks of herself as a possum, with its
"brothers" Crash and Eddie (Sean William Scott and Josh Peck ... that
that, I do not know because I never got to trace their names).

"Ice Age: The merger" is first and foremost, the inevitable sequel. And
Although still is a pleasant film, is very clearly
more or less (depending on how you look) of the same. Still continues
compared with the first one, but all in all it felt that there was not enough material
hold a full-length movie that the character of Scrat
has been given more time screen, even if what makes trying to get his
acorn does not advance the plot at all, although the film help achieve
barely an hour and a half. Although this film does not manage to entertain
occasionally, especially the plot feels more and compulsory
jokes seem a little more blunt.

That is not to say "Ice Age: the merger" is a total waste, because it makes
still have some tricks up its sleeve.
Latifah takes a brilliant performance in his character Ellie, like Scott Peck and Ellie's
two "brothers". And while much of the first two parts of the film delays,
accumulates during the climax and then never lets go.
The animation is fairly well as excellent.

still has enough wit and laughs support most of the time but
is really much more of a model that the first film, and
genre of animation generally does not reach new levels with this. Still,
is one of the best sequels, but He is a cool way to start the summer
(on this side of the world, ie).
Very funny movie. Nary a moment as boring Diego, Manny and Sid
find their way through the merger. The danger lies in the first Ice Age
film is not duplicated here. The danger was not as imminent
due to the fact that the merger is partly a blessing, while the ice age itself
everything went bad. A subtle flaw but not something the creators could avoid
unless they wanted to make a "Mid-Ice Age" movie. How the tribe
survived several thousand years is not addressed, but who cares?
Maybe they were actually living in ecuator in the first film and
ice sheets reached only in recent years after the Ice Age. A
Ten years later, the weather heats up and causes the mixture of mixed emotions
in Ice Age II. The central theme of friendship despite differences
and humor in situations trying plays well. Overcominging
fears in the face of danger is a prominent theme. Jokes fly fast and furious
for all ages. And the proto-squirrel steals our hearts with their
absolute devotion to the cache of acorns. Strong production for Twentieth Century Fox
