Peter Parker (Tobey McGuire) can't seem to catch any kind of break. Being Spiderman has brought him nothing but problems as far as his personal life is concerned. Not only that, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) is engaged to astronaut John Jameson, and Peter may lose her forever. Things are so bad for him that he is pushed past his breaking point, so he decides that he doesn't want to be Spiderman anymore, until a freak accident transforms Dr. Otto Octavius into Dr. Octopus, a super-villian with four metal tentacles coming out of him. Peter realizes that only Spiderman can stop him, but of course, problems arise. Mary Jane gets caught in the middle, and Harry Osborn, who still blames Spiderman for the death of his father, Norman Osborn, also the Green Goblin, wants him dead. Spiderman will have to push himself past his limits if he's going to survive.

WOW.

I had low expectations after Spiderman 1. Guy spider 2 is a blowout,
not take prisoners, roller coaster ride of a movie. It has everything:
great history, the edge of your seat action, romance, humor, fine acting
, breaking the rhythm of the neck,…. well, you get the idea.

This film is for the whole family. Great scenes of hunting accidents, and
special effects for boys. Romance, and a tender love story for
gals. Touches of comics for children. It just works so well in all
level.

McGuire and Dunst have a chemistry that reminded me of Niles and Daphne
in "Frasier." beings with each other from afar, and could not
communicate their feelings to each other . The tension was exquisite romantic
. Hence, is here with McGuire and Dunst. You know they have to
meet sometime, but the long and difficult journey is a journey that
enjoy.

The villain is undoubtedly the upper platform. Without revealing too much, suffice it to say that
is pretty bad, pretty scared, and
convincing enough to make the film work on the plot.

special effects are well done, especially when you have a Spiderman
save passengers from a train speed.

Spiderman has doubts free, begins to lose his powers, and that yearns
Peter Parker instead of a superhero. The fight with his selection in
life, as we all do. It makes it difficult to choose, and learns that the truth
and integrity are rewarded, even when the results are very painful for

You can watch movies with a message deeper, but are not many films that combine
action, romance, and the meaning of a slick package. See
it. In fact, you may want to buy this DVD for your library.
A cut above the typical movie comics, SM 1 did what this type of
the film is supposed to do: present the main characters, have 'em fight
Super Bad Guy, and then have it all end happily ever after, for the most
. In other words, for the first movie in a supposed franchise,
you have to allow time for the exhibition of the history of the protagonist, even if
million already know him from another medium.

SM 2, however, this requirement is not necessary. We have fulfilled
Spidey, MJ, Aunt May, et al. And we are ready to jump into a new story.
So while the first explained why it is Spidey, the second film

Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) still pines for MJ (Kirsten Dunst), who steers clear of

cast returns from the first film (well, everyone who survived the first film
), and they all do a good job collectively. Maguire is a perfect choice to lead
; is unassuming, can not really emotive, is stoicism, and
even a little wimpy. All are qualities that plague the characters
both Spider-Man and Peter Parker.
