After the brutal death of a friend, a group of friends find themselves in possession of a video-game called "Stay Alive," a blood-curdling true story of a 17th century noblewoman known as the Blood Countess. After playing the game when they know they shouldn't, however, the friends realize that once they die in the game—they die for real. As their numbers begin dropping and as they begin dying in the ways they died in the game, the remaining friends realize they must defeat the Blood Countess or accept their fates.

One of the most fun films that I had the pleasure of watching this
year! But then again, i am a regular movie Junkie. The plot line
grip and very intense. The story behind the Countess was
frankly SPOOKY and graphics are incredible! I loved the fact that
looked at this game as much as all other horror games out there, as
clock tower 3 or sirens.

The only reason I am giving this movie to 7 and not a higher rank
is that there are a lot of unanswered questions, like those who did exactly the game and
why? "and the most annoying
unanswered question 'why the characters are killed even before they died in the
game? "otherwise, is very very entertaining! I will think twice before playing a game
horror genre! _ ^ ^
I saw "Stay Alive" tonight, and I was surprised to come home and read reviews
discount as stupid or absurd.

actually, I think that the plot was quite substantial and well thought
for a horror movie - especially a PG-13. Of course, it is likely
would have been better as an R version, but there is always an opportunity for
a DVD unrated. This film made me think and I am afraid, which is a combination
difficult to find. The timeline is fairly stable and easy to follow
- with the exception of parts of the final - it becomes a pleasant experience
. Without worrying about when things are happening, you are
free to concentrate on why we are going.

I really liked the game plot - is entertaining enough to see
players to get on it! Everything is interconnected, so
interests me enough to look past the "jumpy"
parties to the underlying meanings and symbolism.

The characters were quite dynamic and complex, and that act is
lot better than I expected. I really felt for them, an element often missing
horror films. The procession of events could have been
a bit predictable at times, but the characters remains real and credible
throughout. I was happy to see that everything was not
simply discarded in the name of Gore.

The lighting was surprisingly good for this genre - every scene is
well lit and easy to do what was happening. The colors were perfect
to establish mood, and the film was in the best part of the average
: no complaints here.

In general, but the end was a little let-down, I think this is
worth seeing if you like horror movies that also make you think - is not
All alarms about. I am also a novice player, so it could have
appreciates that more than one player not - I do not know.

In conclusion - that it's worth a shot.
