This is the story of Adam and Barbara who live in a beautiful house in New England. One day while driving home they are involved in a terrible auto accident. They manage to walk home only to discover later that they have died and now haunt their house. When their house is purchased by an out of state family, they feel their home is threatened by the over-the-top artists wife and real-estate idea-man husband. Their only relief is the Gothic daughter of the family. Their attempts at scaring the family out of the house are ignored or laughed at. Finally they fall to the temptation to use the people-exorcizer Beetle Juice. When they find his tactics too dangerous, they attempt to contain him and save the family they were trying to boot.

Zany history of the rural population couple Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara Maitland
(Geena Davis) who is accidentally killed and a witness

With a new joke almost every minute, the film is never boring. And how about that
banda sonora? "Day-O" in the most morbid comedy ever? Yes,

Fairly entertaining movie that stays true to its twisted sensibilities,
irreverent sense of humor and a clear respect for the songs
of Harry Belafonte. The cast is very game, each player or his
inhabits his role very well, with Keaton in the most outrageous - and hilarious
- Comedy performance that has led since his debut-theft
1982 "night shift." The film has a great design in all its scenes,
and good visual effects. Bono for lovers of old movies really is the presence of
1930 by the actress Sylvia Sidney as Adam and Barbara's
afterlife social worker. Also fun to see Robert Goulet and Dick Cavett
in support functions. Definitely a good comedy of 1980.

the first film with Jeffrey Jones, who also appeared in films
Burton's "Ed Wood" and "Sleepy Hollow".
