(horror, mystery, thriller)
In London, after investigating crack addicted junkies for an article in her newspaper, the journalist Amy Klein (Kari Wuhrer) watches a bizarre videotape. Her editor Charles Richmond (Simon Kunz) received the footage of an underground group of youngsters in Bucharest apparently becoming zombies through the power of their leader Winter (Paul Rhys) from a member, Marla (Georgina Rylance), and invites Amy to prepare the story. Amy accepts the challenge, and once in Romania, she finds Marla dead with a puzzle cube in her hands. She brings the object to her hotel room, and opens it, beginning her journey to hell.

Well, finally "Hellraiser: Dead" has come after a few years
gathering dust on the shelves.
I agree with the other members that seems to breathe life into some of
Once again outstanding franchise, but as with the other sequels that only
lacks what the previous films had in abundance. My personal opinion is that
can truly say that this was not written as a "Hellraiser" movie.
For the first half hour or so, except with the odd reference to "The
Box" this could have been any other horror film and what kind of remains that way
throughout.
The only thing really missing for me as "Hellraiser: Inferno" and
"Hellraiser: Hellseaker" is simply not long enough to see the
"Cenobites" .
not only means "head of pin" I mean all of them. You see some of them look
shots, but I feel its just not enough. It seems a waste not giving them time
screen. There are 6 "Cenobites" in this movie
( "pin heads", "Chatterer," "Bound", "Stitch," "Little Sister") & ( "Spike"
In the bonus material!) Why are all these needed to
5 minutes of screen time? To be fair they did seem to play a greater part in this
that Parts V and VI, however, have become almost extras or cameos
these days.
I read some comments from other members saying that these films are
This is not "pin heads", but there is a reason that has been in all franchise
so far.
I agree that one of the strengths of "Hellraiser" is that
stand alone stories, but in any franchise you need a recurring factor and
" Cenobites "and, in particular," head of pin. "
"Cenobites" are "Hellraiser", which is why later film
not feel like "Hellraiser" movies at all.
"Hellraiser: Dead" is a good and one of the best sequels to date
and should give all fans hope "Hellraiser: Hellworld" but as I
noted with "Hellraiser: Hellseaker" the fleeting vision of
"Cenobites" simply are not enough.
To return to the essence of the films and establish the history
around them or let them play an important part again. The later films in this series unfortunately
could have been much more.
I was a little reluctant to see the payments, mostly because of the small piece
small details that emerged many months before the
in fact the film came out. However, being an avid fan of Hellraiser,
I went and bought the film, to my great joy, I really liked.
Before going into too much detail, let me say that I in any way compare
any other film. Each film is an entry in the
mythos and should be treated as such. With that said, let me elaborate
. First, I felt this movie had a very dark feel, rather than
Hellseeker and Inferno. The images on this was very powerful (wing
The ring style) and deserves much needed praise. The end
I thought was one of the best I've seen since the end Hellraiser III.
This is a nice touch to this link back to blood, although he did
feel as though it were a last-minute idea. He was very good, and
is nice to see a woman at the helm again. I must say, however, New
Hellriaser (ie Post Hellraiser: Bloondlines) is beginning to develop a style
very predictable. Let me explain. 1) Men's / Women's box is opened 2)
visions and dreams haunt him 3) The man is in hell without his knowing
4) pinhead comes to saying "Welcome to Hell" < br>
Now with that said, as I was watching Dead, I was saying to myself
"Yawn, here we go again." About an hour into it, I began to really like
. Not that it subtracts much from that formula, but did so only
enough that you stop yawning and
really start to wonder what happens. Unlike Hellseeker, flashback / Hunt 's not
reality is that not intrinsically linked to that confuses
# # # # out of you. This pulls it very well.
It is my opinion that if this was the first inning after blood, would not have been so difficult
Bashir. It is a great stand-alone movie Hellraiser, although
not have the power of the first 3, is still a worthwhile
monitor
