Despite the lukewarm reviews that, I went to see this movie on a recent afternoon
because I had a couple of hours between visits to friends
holidays. It was the only film that suit my schedule. It was not my
first, second or third option and if I have absolutely nothing else to
And if the weather had been more cooperative, I should run - not
withdrew from the theater. I have decided that since it stood at
top of the box office for another week, maybe, just maybe there was something about
redemptive. There is no. Nothing. And the audience
agree. There are probably 20 of us and not a person - not -
laughed at any point in this movie. It is one of the most pathetic
waste of talent since - since - since I do not know why. Shame on all
associated with this movie horribly unfunny.
Meeting of the parents of his girlfriend can be quite stressful. But
have their parents meet theirs can sometimes be a recipe for disaster, something
Greg Focker lies its danger, when both sets of parents
meet on the eve of his wedding. Done after the success of
Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers leads to the last movie left off, with Greg
delivering babies while his father stuffy future laws
surrender ultimatums, both with memorable results. Of course Greg is now finally
in "The Circle of Trust" a circle which is headed by Jack, Greg's
uptight future father in law, retired from the CIA, and still firmly
along with his former profession. Meanwhile Greg's own parents are
sat back and free with his emotions, his mother of being a sex therapist and his father
a house husband. Knowing Jack's conservative ways
Greg is a pleasure but terrorized their boyfriends news that
are going to have a baby. Concerned Jacks reaction, things get worse when Greg
old adolescent crush reappeared, together with a 15-year-old son who is a dead ringer
Greg and, as far as the case of Jack, a first
contender for a DNA test. Meet the Fockers se basa
purely in the realm of a joke film (ie, the family name) and so has the longevity of one
(ie, very short) The main problems
the film is the heartbreaking (a film amateur point of view) the view of
Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand all participants in a film
Benny Hill who have passed a. Streisand, power everything
singing and acting legend, here is reduced to teaching seniors how
have better sex, something I could have lived without seeing.
Hoffman is clearly fun, though quite unaware that the hearing
is not. His scenes with De Niro has a chemistry, but the scenes
themselves do little for his reputation. A scene with Hoffman
sitting on a toilet and De Niro in the shower waiting for him to
"finished" really felt like a time low, and when I rinsed Hoffman
confident his career was not going with her. A highest point is the emergence of
Owen Wilson (Hutch the Stiller to his Starsky)
that appears at the end, but by then I was too busy sawing through my wrists.
Meet the Fockers has an incredible waste of exceptional talent, and
that my friends do not laugh.
