Mac Mckussic is an unlikely drug dealer who wants to go straight. His old and best friend Nick Frescia is now a cop who is assigned to investigate and bring him to justice. Mac is very attracted to Jo Ann, the owner of a stylish restaurant. Nick gets close to Jo Ann attempting to know more about Mac's drug dealing plans and his connections with the Mexican dealer Carlos, who the police believe is coming to town to meet with him. Nick also falls for Jo Ann's charms and his friendship with Mac is in danger.

Many consider Tequila Sunrise to be a routine formulas
cop thriller with some good sets, actors enough, some guns, some sex workers, etc. .... Cynics will
Gibson said that he had never acted worse, the plot twists are predictable
and the love triangle is overly concerned. I, on the other hand, we believe that the benefits
film largely on expert cinematography, with fluency and convincing stories
(albeit rather undemanding) acting. Stings Gibson (now retired
drug dealer lured back for one last deal) and Russell (the reluctant sheriff
bust assigned to him) as best friends on opposite sides of the law is a strong
premise, even more by the fact that the drug dealer
(Gibson) is the sympathetic character and the police (Russell) is the Sly,
kind of manipulation. There is an apparent sense of irony and there is no need
a long way to make an average of another story, interesting and very watchable.
Pfeiffer is the glamorous love interest whose character has much to
intensify the rivalry between the two men. Much of the drama and strength
however comes from the late JT Walsh Russell as the top
committed to hell with what Gibson and his Mexican anti-drug party that nobody has seen
. An extraordinary sense of irony is presented in the outcome of Walsh
unknowlingly becomes a pawn in the drug ring that has now become the talk of the town
thanks to his revenge. The afternoon also
Raúl Juliá never disappoints as the charismatic yet enigmatic
Mexican law executor. Julia Walsh and complement the film as beautifully
minor characters with dubious intentions. They are multifaceted and like all
other people in this film moves between what they should do and what
they want to do, and what they actually end up doing. Nothing is black and white
Tequila Sunrise, is a grey area. With all the development that
learn more about people and how they are so far from what they originally perceived
. Hats Off to Robert Towne to his writing. Tequila Sunrise
may lack the inventiveness, vision and dynamism of Chinatown
(Robert Towne wrote two scripts), but should by no means be dismissed as a mediocre
police is a thriller.It very slick piece of film with fine acting
establishes glamorous, and great dialogue. In addition, unlike some of his predecessors
is a film that can be seen on several occasions without losing is

Robert Towne writes well rounded characters and situations that may

natural on the screen. Cinematography is first-class
Conrad Hall continue to demonstrate their talent.
