Elliot Richards, a socially incompetent technical advisor working at a call-center, has had a crush on Alison Gardner for nearly four years. One evening, which already started particularly bad for Elliot, she ditches him. Elliot wishes for her to be in his life with all his heart - and is heard. An incredibly beautiful young lady addresses Elliot, and after introducing herself as the Devil, Lucifer, the Princess of Darkness, she offers him a deal: Seven wishes for him, his Soul for her. Quickly, Elliot is convinced and accepts. But every wish he gets fulfilled has massive disadvantages as well, and soon Elliot wants to get out of the contract. The only thing that matters to him now is being able to take his chances by himself.

The legend of Faust is a solid history. Although selling his soul to the Devil
is serious about things, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore managed to make a
light and little theater "Bedazzled" in the sixties, swinging.
In this sense, a featherweight Hollywood director Harold Ramis ( "Caddyshack, '
' Ghostbusters' Groundhog Day") has renewed, changing the
location from London to San Francisco. However, an English actor,
Elizabeth Hurley, still plays the Devil, this time a tempting nerdish
Brendan Fraser.

History is a collection of episodes linked as Brendan
test various fantasies, all of which come with a catch for example, "rich and powerful?"
Try to Colombian drug Lord . With every desire that pursues his fellow workers
Alison (Frances O'Connor) who has admired from afar for years, but
always something goes wrong. Altruism saves the day, and the Devil is
losers, but I think it would have been much more fun when Brendan
had ido with it (the devil that is) instead.

Elizabeth Hurley is not a great actor (Joanna Lumley
would have been much better), but this part suits her pretty well. She plays as a director
cruising with a limited number of emotions, but far enough in advance
to be attractive. The party is almost too big for her and she does not have the support of
Pride, Lust, avarice and the rest as Peter Cook did in the movie
1967. Brendan Fraser is a good player with a good range and
requires the cameos here with considerable skill.

This film is fairly light, frothy and forgettable, but once or twice
the voice of Pete and Dud thought that comes to the script reminds us that
consummate comics had a tip or two about life and living.
Your soul can not be yours to sell, but Heaven and Hell are here on earth,
and where you go is largely up to you. Unfortunately, Pete and Dud se han ido, but
his work still has the power to have fun. This is a pretty flabby
re-run, but Hurley and Fraser are effective and some of the comics
spirit is still there.
Here is a fun movie with a number of good laughs. It is stupid? Yes,
parties. It is sound theology? Hardly, but there was no more true that
fiction pronounced in this movie, believe it or not. It's the Devil to see
attractive? Well, yes, I would say that Elizabeth Hurley is quite attractive
!

The start is the best part of the film, and end - with a mute
New Age message - is the worst. Along the way, the mute
Brendan Fraser's "Elliott Richards" learns some valuable lessons in their struggle
with the Devil. For the sale of his soul, so to speak, gets seven wishes
and we are witnessing is handled, or mishandled, these desires. Much of it is quite fun
. Fraser is not an evil. He can play these roles ridiculous
(ie, "George of the Jungle" and could be that serious and effective,
also, as in "The Quiet American").

In general, is good light entertainment. Do not expect much, and
you will be pleasantly surprised. At least, that's the way I found.
