It is the year 2029: Astronaut Leo Davidson (Mark Wahlberg) boards a pod cruiser on a Space Station for a "routine" reconnaissance mission. But an aburupt detour through a space time wormhole lands him on a strange planet where talking apes rule over the human race. With the help of a sympathetic chimpanzee activist named Ari (Helena Bonham-Carter) and a small band of human rebels, Leo leads the effort to evade the advancing Gorilla Army led by General Thade (Tim Roth) and his most trusted warrior Attar (Michael Clarke Duncan). Now the race is on to reach a sacred temple within the planet's Forbidden Zone to discover the shocking secrets of mankind's past - and the key to its future.

When recently, for fun, my favorite movies ranked in a top 100 list,

Planet of the Apes ending 33. It was the second of science fiction on the list, after
2001, which ranked # 1. Whenever I was disappointed and the unwillingness
irked that some people have toward Planet of the Apes. I almost
assaulted someone that monkeys are described as "one of those bad-it's-funny kind

film" a few months ago. I take this film seriously, and I want
others do the same.

I think one reason there is so much animosity against this one is
is undeniable that date. Not too much, but it would be difficult to sit
a young teenager, raised in the films of 1990, ahead of him and have
likes. Even a young adult, aged between 18 and 25,
find it difficult. Planet of the Apes certainly exists at any given time,
the late 1960. This was the best decade for the film, beating out two tons

americas and foreign masterpieces. Times were rough, and the Vietnam War era

growing in intensity at the time Planet of the Apes was made.
Because of this, we see many references to the current dilemma. The film Willy-nilly
discussions on topics such as hunting, violence, animal rights, the evolution vs. creationism
, class structure, and nuclear war. Taylor tells a young,
rebellious, adolescent chimpanzee not to trust anyone over 30 (a juvenile
adage in the late 60s). Yes, you have so many issues that seem to be on

sometimes burst. And, yes, satire goes overboard from time to time.
Even so, everything is argued passionately. We can say that everyone involved, even
Heston, cree in what they are saying. In its own way,
Planet of the Apes
is so intellectual and philosophical as a film of 2001. I know that when
adolescents and young adults go see the Tim Burton remake (which is not large,
BTW), there will be many who say that overpraise and
is much better than the original. You would have to be mentally disabled to
honestly think so.
The original "Planet of the Apes" is better than the 2001 remake
in almost all levels. It may be Tim Burton's version seems better, not surprisingly
with Burton as director, but the address itself, cinematography, history and
action in Franklin J. Schaffner 's original
are much better and more interesting. Heston is

Taylor, who collides with his spacecraft in what appears to be a
deserted planet. He and two other survivors start searching for life. They run
to other human beings, and at that time were all attacked by monkeys.
apes speak English, humans are dumb. In this society a human being is what is
apes are in our society. Animals, nothing more. Humans are
taken for research, and Taylor, and since he was shot in the neck
is not able to speak at first. One of his fellow survivors is dead, what happened to the other
not sure. A female monkey who is a scientist discovers
Taylor understands that it even thinks it can talk. Of course this is not
what people high in this society wants to hear.

The film has some very interesting elements. Worlds are upside down, as
Taylor said, and somehow the film puts a mirror in front of us. The
human beings are humiliated just the way we treat animals. What do we do if another mammal
suddenly knew speak our language? We are probably
react the same as apes do in this movie and hence, is even more interesting
.

In the movie liked it very much, and some very nice moments in particular. Early in the film
Taylor receives a woman in her cage. The calls his Nova (Linda Harrison
). We know what we want apes, and it's funny because
is exactly how it's done this sort of thing our animals. The monkeys are still surprised when
Taylor wants to keep his wife, and, therefore, seems
monogamous.

With some nice touches, a great and famous ending, some events that
sound very familiar, Charlton Heston as a good man, a score of
Jerry Goldsmith that is perfect for a movie like this,
pleasant direction and a fine cinematography Leon Shamroy for this movie is a very good
Classic.
