Filmed in Bristol during their '97 stage tour, Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall again adopt their characters of Eddie and Richie from the television series "Bottom", this time being stranded on a desert island with no food, and even worse, no booze or pornography to keep them occupied. Things get even worse during the second act when they discover that a French visitor has left a large nuclear device on the island during the night to conduct weapons testing in the pacific.

Now this is funny bits alive, but I do not feel as if
was as good as before. This is understandable because the whole show
was established on a desert island, a place where they can find all kinds of chaos
, but is still limiting.
far as I am concerned, would liked to have seen in his apartment. Talk about
are in captivity! The apartment is their natural habitat!
Some classic gags and still perfectly watchable, but lacking some
original jokes and a little overrun.
Do not misunderstand me, is still a good show, not only as good as it
others, yet we all have our bad days, we are not?
If you like Bottom, The Young Ones, Bottom Live I and II, it remains
like this, probably agree (or perhaps not) that is not his best performance
.
Let me say first: I am a big fan of Ade and Rik, Kevin Turvey across
youth through the fund. But this video is not a good
example of his excellent sense of humor.
Bottom, for the uninitiated, this is slapstick, fart jokes and
tragic sadness full two losers. Think of the smaller but more so. In
its best, is hilarious. This is not his best form.
It is difficult to explain why not, simply is not. Not all bum jokes are equal, let's say
. They can be clever, unexpected and almost Wilde-esque, or
can be terribly obvious and overstated. More to the point, this video is both basa
them, as opposed to the witty repartee, violence and random
sexual advances from the rest of the works of substance.
