Firstly, I must admit that the "vanguard" is one of my favorite movies ever more
. Therefore, my disappointment "Going for Gold
" could be the result of too high expectations, but still ...
I'm not satisfied with what you just saw. Anyway, first things first.
Perhaps I should start with the performance of the two main characters
. Unfortunately, Joey Paul has done a good job with the terrible
smelter. It is almost a nightmare to watch without inspiration and unconvincing
Christy Romano, who plays as if
not really understand the piece. Yes, I admit that Jackie
character is a bit complicated, but it is not an excuse for not trying to get the job done
.
And if there is anything more than disappointing performance Christy
that would be the pathetic performance of Ross Thomas. What are
thinking? Such not only was not aware that the nature
was playing, but his acting ability is also quite questionable
after such a poor performance.
Sounds bad, right? Well, here comes the good news. The screenplay by Dan Berendsen
is actually quite good. There are a lot of new ideas,
very well directed by Sean McNamara. The really
fail to capture the spirit of the great tournament, but this time the script is not all about
the Olympics anyway.
The rest of the cast did what they could and really deserve
admirations for his effort. Very likable performance of Scott Baker and perhaps even
Christine Lakin, although its share is too small to really
We appreciate the actress' skill.
Well, look what I've written so far, I have to admit that sounds
much worse than I thought it would. I did enjoy the film, but I guess I'm too
a fan of figure skating, so that films come with something more than magic
though almost everything else goes wrong.

I saw Christy Carlson Romano act in other movies (Disney movies)
with more passion than in this movie. This is basically a remake of the
First row, except the boy, Alex, is engaged on this occasion rather than
the girl. I hate when sequels are made and are an exact replica of the
first. How about some originality? What's another plot line
? Well, here's the story. Jackie is the daughter of Doug
EC original skaters and Kate, so that we have moved to
marriage and had a daughter who is a mixture of both, but with more
Kate's stubbornness . Alex, Jackie's new partner, has a boyfriend
when the original Kate was the one with the boyfriend. They, of course
have this passionate love / hate relationship and Jackie is too prideful
and too fearful of getting hurt (hence the Kate therein) to tell Alex
she wants to be with he. He, of course, has feelings for her, but
at the same time feels obliged to Heidi (as did Kate).
I do not know, this movie left me feeling indifferent. The conclusion of the
film, which is supposed to be more drama and romance, was very dry!
The climax, which should be this great emotion overwhelming, as was
"Oh, by the way, can not get rid of me, because I love you."
Right there on the ice, already awaiting the music to start ...
not give you much time to respond, so we have to show during the
program; I just do not feel the chemistry. I think From Justin to Kelly
had more chemistry in place and that the film was pretty bad. Mrs
Romano has a wonderful voice, perhaps as Kelly Clarkson, it should also stick to
