I usually agree with the main criticisms about films, in most part
. However, this movie, like the 1st film Saw, is a major exception.
If you're looking for a best picture nominee, does not seem
here. However, it is a very entertaining movie that is fascinating
probably not appeal to the squeamish. The movie fits right in the
Revenge of Parents mold quite well. The eldest son is murdered by the gang. Dad
avenger death. Gang fights back. Dad goes crazy and kills the gang members,
before all this culminates in a final full of shooting
graphic carnage. If you're looking for a crazy action movie, this is not quite
. In particular, the first half was very deliberate in trying to convey
Bacon as a real man, trying to avoid violence, but ultimately
succumb to it. I found this journey that leads him to be quite
believe, until a scene near the end in a hospital in which he turns in Rambo
. Instead of being in motion, is a bit ridiculous.
Then the movie becomes a simple but very good shot,
action movie full of blood and carnage. Many critics bash the film is for
hypocrisy in the movie condemn violence while later, which represents
in style, perversely entertaining detail. However, I think this is
justified by the leaders of a gang in the quote near the end of the film. "Look
you," he says to Bacon. "You have become one of us."
The man is right. The gang leaders have throat slot and fired the head. But so has
Bacon. He is a lesser of two evils to be sure, but a bad
none the less. While this may be a cheap attempt by the director of the film
more serious, not work. It is true that Bacon
has been transformed into a kind of monster. He has a great credit to the performance of Bacon, along with other
almost never an actor. If a dark, violent, disturbing
the film is what you're in the mood for this weekend, spend Halloween, and
go see this.
At least at the foot of height to recover before leaving a vengeance
Spree. The police were made to look very stupid. After 2
policemen were killed and they know they are murderers, it is not
track them down. Please ... If you knew that a gang was after me and my family,
certainly not keep them at home.
That would be the first flight out of town. He escapes from the hospital and the police know who is
revenge, but not a bother to search him
his home. Someone who has never handled firearms before becoming an expert marksman
by reading the manuals. Who have not had much to the plot have
more sense. They could, at least, that the police are trying to do something
.
