In Jersey City, an African American hit man follows "Hagakure: The Way of the Samurai." He lives alone, in simplicity with homing pigeons for company, calling himself Ghost Dog. His master, who saved his life eight years ago, is part of the local mob. When the boss' daughter witnesses one of Ghost Dog's hits, he becomes expendable. The first victims are his birds, and in response, Ghost Dog goes right at his attackers but does not want to harm his master or the young woman. On occasion, he talks with his best friend, a French-speaking Haitian who sells ice cream in the park, and with a child with whom he discusses books. Can he stay true to his code? And if he does, what is his fate?

Now I will be the first to admit that when I say something that can be
Blasfemo or unfair, and I would like to apologize in advance for my
Ranting about how much I disliked this movie.

That about sums it up too. I disliked this movie. To be more specific,
not like the concept of this movie. The cinematography was good. The humor
was nice. And the acting is satisfactory.

However, the story is fatuous, unacurate and misleading. It is also
Offensive.

I think one quarter Indian, and for some reason I feel insulted, in a
level staff, by the nature of his character Whitaker. First,
He is a black man. And this is not a racist comment, I swear. The thought of
White, Hispanics or Native Americans even swinging a katana in one roof
Anything that offends the katana represents. The represents the Katana
Soul of a Samurai, imbibed with the souls of their ancestors and guiding
Protect the Samurai. For Ghost Dog for use instead of weapons is the Katana
also an insult to the blade and the inside of souls, and where the hell did he
Get a Katana anyway? Must be one of those replicas, which insults
Samurai caste further.

Also Ghost Dog showed no honour. Near the end of the film, it triggers a
Guardaespaldas in the back through a window and then murdered by a man on the face
Disparándole through a drainage pipe. This is not just a cowardly
way to kill an enemy, it is more like a ninja, murderers silent, a group
Samurais deny that exists, but hates none of the less.

Then he tries to kill his boss when he discovers that his boss is a baddie. You
you know what a real Samurai ago when he learns that his master is bad or
Deshonroso? He kills himself, to prove that he preferred to die then
Lower himself to the level of their teacher doggish.

Everything about the character was a giant contradiction with the real code
all adhere to Samurai: Bushido.

Thus, we have a great cinematography, good atmosphere and what is acting so
satiricle cover a plot and premise (which unfortunately is the most important aspect of
the same), so it's a film overall unsatisfactory, and a
Insulting everything an honorable bushi (samurai) is in high esteem.

This is a great movie, it has almost everything requires a great movie: a
Result great, great actors, great performances, etc. The film revolves around
Ghost Dog, perfectly portrayed by Forest Whitaker. He is a murderer who
lives by the code of the Samurai. Besides him, also follow the fate of
Several mafia men (though far as closely as we continue Ghost Dog).
These two very different groups, Samurai and the Mafia, are both shown
reasonably well, which gives us an idea of how the working groups, and
more important, your code. Both groups live and die by the code, and this is

now, so believe me, I know. The film is highly stylized and cool
Everything, which certainly has some part of its interest in the maintenance, but
The theme and the story / plot plays a bigger part, I think. The plot is fairly
Good, and while maintaining a fairly slow pace throughout the film, also
maintains its interest for the entire duration of the film. The act is all
Good, but not everyone pulls out as a performance as excellent Whitaker.
Isaach De Bankolé Ghost Dog portrays the best friend, and he did not give a
Great performance. So is Camille Winbush, which represents a girl who
Ghost Dog befriends books and discusses with. The characters are well-written and credible
(mostly). I am not entirely sure that the movie gives us a
Completely correct version of the Code of the Samurai. The soundtrack is great;
made by the hip-hop artist RZA, but most of it will be to enjoy
People who are not in hip-hop. Also, I guess it's more of a score than a soundtrack
; no time the music feels out of place in a
scene. In short, a great movie, but not for all tastes. Do not go into
hoped an action film; do not go, in the hopes of a very deep totally
Intellectual film; not go in the hopes of a movie regularly, in hopes of going to
View a decent (if not good) representation of the Mafia and the code
Samurai code. I have heard some people describe the ending as an anti-climax;
I do not know what they were expecting ... I will not say that I saw coming,
But he was not disappointed when it happened. I had to end it, and I think
The director Jim Jarmusch made a good decision on the matter.
Recommend this film to people with an interest in Samurai, the fans and people Jarmusch
Looking for a film quite deep. I do not recommend it to fans of this action
Movies, as there is quite little action in the film. No matter who you are,
If you are going to watch this film, make sure you have the patience for it;
worth sitting through the two hours to reasonably slow.
