A giant, global-killing asteriod, like the one that killed off the dinosaurs 65 million years ago is 18 days away from hitting the Earth. NASA's been caught with their pants down and needs a new plan to stop the rock. They enlist the help of Harry Stamper, an expert deep core driller, to train their astronauts and help them drill into the asteroid and plant a nuclear bomb. But Harry figures the astronauts can't be trained in time and opts to go with his own oil drilling crew.

This film is my ultimate guilty pleasure. It is inane, handling, has
hyperactive cutting, a lot of obvious inaccuracies (
useless even discuss or debate), and probably 29 other glaring faults. And why
at all emo dramatic slow-mo shot there are 3 helicopters flying in unison
general? What is the point of having 3 helicopters flying really
all together? Who cares! It looks cool. If one day I'm having a
sincere talk with my daughter, I hope there are 3 helicopters flying
general to really 'take home'.

Nevertheless, I still love watching this film. At any moment is on television
I can see that "until the end. Bruce Willis does a good job doing his
Bruce Willis' thing '(being a smart alecky tough guy), and support
cast is really great. Steve Buschemi, in particular, gets the best lines.

I think it was also designed costumes for a study of office (not really),
I suppose that is another strike against it. However, only a pile of costumes
could develop a "high concept" as this (almost as high
is bordering on parody.) And only a director like Michael Bay could fazer. He is much more suited to this type of film, rather than large
historical epics such as Pearl Harbor (which does not really like.)

I read somewhere once that this film is what comes closest to pure
Hollywood movie, in that it is basically completely divorced from reality
of any kind. Is that good or bad? I do not know. I think if you're going to ditch
convention and any resemblance to reality, can also
go all the way. It's better than having something that is a confusing mess
that these are different things. There will be no '
could really happen! "here.

So after all this, believe it or not I will give this film a Big Fat
friolera, 8. Why? Because the IMO unabashedly success when it tries to establish
to be, whatever that is. That makes no sense, since
I'm saying, basically, by all accounts logic of this movie can reach
suck, I am still giving it an 8. But hey I loved this movie.
* Minor * saboteurs This film follows the basic asteroid will hit Earth
plot. They find out about the asteroid, some brave souls are sent to destroy
, are in trouble, and one has to die to save the planet
. With a major, it's worth. Does NASA send a group of highly trained astronauts
to save Earth from destruction? No place to call
Stamp Harry (Bruce Willis) and his banda of misfits oil drilling. This
happy gang are rounded up from a strip club, casino and several other
caches, to save the world.

This makes many of laughter and, finally, a "happy ending". If
want a serious movie about saving the planet, do not see this. His form
as preposterous, and has too many amusing moments
to be taken seriously. This is a great fun. For example, when the mad Russian Astronaut
hits the space shuttle engine with a wrench to get
which started! Hilarious. Steve Buscemi provides the character of some of the more amusing moments
films. The good and the special effects are great
.

If you want a far-fetched, over the top, travel into space with the
strange group of astronauts around, see this movie. Do not take
seriously, I hope it is not realistic, just sit and watch.
