Cynthia, TV producer, has an idea about how to save the station: A normal person's life should be broadcasted 24 hours a day. "Ed TV" is born the second her eye falls on Ed Pekurny, a sympathetic Joe Sixpack. After the first week on air Eds fame grows and grows, but conflicts break open: His brother Ray publishes a very negative book about Ed, who now dates Ray's ex; Ed's parent's partnership problematics are broadcasted nationwide and a very attractive and seducing model uses innocent Ed to raise her own fame. Also, Ed's contract proves to be unquittable, so that Ed Pekurny suddenly can see the golden bars around his cage. But in a country that switches the TV set on for breakfast and off for bedtime, nearly everything can happen - and people can be counted on.

With any comedy there is also a kingdom of truth and seriousness.
The point of this movie that I think the first reviewer lost, is that
is telling us something about the reality TV craze that has spread to our country
. Even after the horror of 9 / 11 that came after this movie,
soon returned to the madness of reality TV shows where the so-called non
actors are real people who are paid on TV if the
Degree or survivors, often deprived of sleep to be more emotional
and make whatever happens on camera more intense. So how real is real
when this contrived? In this movie I Edtv
madness and the ugliness of producers wonderfully portrayed by Rob Reiner and Ellen DeGeneres

thanks to his life be public.

Gee, like television today reality! Yes, one can argue that players not
real people who must register and learn more about what you get,
deserve. Perhaps we should also know better than to be a nation that
peeps through key holes. This film is relevant and well acted by
worldwide.
