The title of the film may be "Fighting Tommy Riley," but the star is really
Tommy's coach Marty, played by the phenomenal Eddie Jones.
Yes, this is a boxing movie, but it's also a movie about a staff
struggle to remain professional and go beyond their wishes to do the right thing
.
At the beginning of the film, presents us with the two main characters
as each of them are struggling to find its place in the world. It
when the two meet in which they are improving their
situations. Tommy becomes a boxer again, and start winning.
Marty believes that someone focus on, something to get himself out of bed
.
Now here's the spoiler. Marty has a past with another boxer he made a pass
a. That boxer out Marty, Marty and the reputation of the boxing world
was shot. That's why he went off to become a teacher.
Throughout this film, Marty's struggling against their wishes for Tommy
culminating in an incident that reveals Marty's tortured by side
Tommy, dealing with put behind him, but was never able to
until the end of the film.
Other reviewers are glossing over this key plot point of the film and
saying that never achieved anything like a "Rocky" or
"Cinderella Man". Respondents are missing. The film is not
Tommy Riley about becoming a fighter. This is the fight against the desire for
Tommy Riley, even if this means that you must force him to hatred
that can truly achieve what he deserves.
This material is strong, and Eddie Jones steps up to the plate and
surrender without going above. JP Davis proved himself as capable
a writer and actor. And the supporting actresses, Christina Chambers and Diane M.
Taylor made the most of limited
scenes and dialogue were given.

AMAZING film, IMO. Great fan of boxing Flix, which is why we picked up this
top. But this is not really about boxing at all, boxing is only part
and a great metaphor to oblige
get-back-up-and-a-follow-on maintenance thing, could have been anything that justifies
together to get these characters so intense, so
worked well, but it is only the establishment, the story is the relationship
, stories, gifts, consequences, layers ...
totally smoke million for babies, I think, in many ways.
Great performances, fascinating cinematography and art direction, like
great book illustration, often, esp. in principle, gut-wrenchingly moving ...
