I did not expect much from this movie - another rip off of "The Odd
Young" - but my son insisted on watching and I was pleasantly surprised
.
Matthau and Lemon have hated each other and that one stole from each other
girl away. (Both wives are gone now.) They play nasty jokes on a
another, relishing the other frustration and anger. Meanwhile
Matthau's son and daughter are lemon knowledge of each other
sub. Also meanwhile a ravishing redhead released Calif.
(Anne-Margaret) moves across the street in this small, snow fixed
Minnesota town, and she drops lemon. At the insistence of lemon
although she has a short throw with Matthau before the inevitable end.
They are not really the odd couple. There are new characters who happen to suffer
adimadversions each other. The jokes are very fast,
fast, and sometimes quite amusing. Burgess Meredith, Lemon Pop,
declaim, "The first ninety years go by real fast! Then one day you
wake up and realize that you're not eighty-one more! Mount women! "
At one point during an argument, Matthau attacks lemon with a frozen fish
and two elderly men (68 and 73, I think) through all the motions of a carefully choreographed by
action to combat film scene - Matthau

constantly amusing. Death is always around the corner, and

or something like that. Stick around making out under the end credits
. It seems they had a good time making this movie.

is great fun for seniors and juniors.I 'm 18, but I'm only getting older
all the time.Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were great together.Unfortunately
Walter died in a heart attack last July
at the age of 79.There are also some other major players in the film, including
Ossie Davis, Daryl Hannah and Kevin Meredith Pollak.Burgess
(1909-1997) is brilliant game Lemmon's father in the movie.Grumpy
Old Men is a heart warming comedy
with many scenes with tremendous Lemmon and Matthau.Don 't miss
during Accidents credits.And not miss this film.
