This is the kind of film that is easy to bread, but it deserves better. Yes,
premise is familiar, the plot is formulas, the characters seem
you've met before.

But ...

"The devil is in the details", as they say, and this image just enough
surprises, just enough charm, fine acting long enough to make worthwhile
Viewing. The films do not have to be real to be worthwhile, you just have to
is about real things. The questions "Mona Lisa Smile" covers are still very much with us
, and can cause considerable debate at home.
This film is sufficiently respectful of its subject matter and well executed
enough to make it a much better way to spend your time than most of what is out there now
. I do not think the sourpusses, this is a good'un.
I liked Julia Roberts least in his earlier films, I like her more now that she is playing
oldest and flawed characters, as the new Professor of Art History in 1953
Wellesley College in "Mona Lisa Smile. "And the title does not
not relate to it, but that is embedded in the comments on the script about
painting of the Mona Lisa. Not everything turns out well in this
film, which more closely reflects real life to many of
the modern romantic comedies. This is NOT a romantic comedy, although it does include several
ballads, and there are some funny parts. It is rather a
serious drama about life and grow, both from the perspective of
undergraduates, and the new teacher. I bought the DVD, the image and sound
are fine, and there are several interesting extras
in making this movie, and work to achieve the correct period.

I do not share the many negative comments about this movie. This is a fine
drama, it deserves repeat viewings once or twice a year. It is NOT
simply a "Dead Poet's Society" for girls. To call considering it
ignore all the fine points about this unique film.
