While traveling to Rockwell Falls in an assignment of the US Census Bureau, the surveyor from Chicago Steve Kady has two flat tires nearby the small town. The local Deputy Bobby Caine brings him to the town and the Mayor Grateman lodges him in a farm, where the gorgeous Courtney Lovett lives with her mother. Steve finds that Rockwell Falls, considered by the locals as the most perfect place on Earth, has the same population since 1860 and sooner he discloses the meaning and the dark secret of their creed of solidarity and steadfastness.

This film has no special effects, not super famous, not
expensive advertising campaign. But it has atmosphere, this is the thing that
lacking in most movies today. He was immersed in its history.

Although you know that this city is damaged somehow,
makes you think there is nothing wrong with him - You are you! That's why
film called "The Great Illusion."

Instead of stopping home-LFE effects, breathtaking views
done with a computer frame by frame, this film manages to create the illusion only
using the right music + + right acting nature shots. Much
far from perfect, but today make a film different is not easy.
It lacks authenticity, in the end, but that's not the important in it.
The hidden message is to open your eyes and take a look around (i
to sound like Fred Durst), and see if they are not in a matrix as
Rockwell Falls ... !
I think this movie could have been better but it's hard to say exactly how
. He was less than great but I can not find too
criticize. I never bored and purpose (including alternates)
unpredictable. I am not too afraid except for a scene that
caught me off guard, a fundamental point in the film.

CGI Two failures highlighted in scenes in which probably is used to cut costs
. Keep an eye on the moving Jeep and studying in the city
aerial views. The latter may require a high-resolution TV or projector. A few plot holes
be explained by paranoia, but it is difficult
to be isolated in the lower 48 now.

Rockwell Falls under different circumstances might be "the most
perfect place on Earth", that is a picturesque city that is not destined
to get overrun. There are safe and healthy ways to curb population growth
and I think that everybody should encourage that. Whether or not you agree
, I can not recommend this film as something more than entertainment.
