After the death of his younger brother, a troubled 19-year-old street dancer from Los Angeles is able to bypass juvenile hall by enrolling in the historically black, Truth University in Atlanta, Georgia. But his efforts to get an education and woo the girl he likes are sidelined when he is courted by the top two campus fraternities, both of which want and need his fierce street-style dance moves to win the highly coveted national step show competition.

The pity is that someone could get to IMDb,
see that this movie is worth 2.6, it is legitimate to think about scoring, and not to see this film.
This is really a good movie.

Yes, the movie is predictable and sometimes cliché. Most of these
inspiring film aimed at young people. But this movie
rises above most others. Not hits notes very well, and direction and choreography
been perfected. The performances - acting and dancing - are
very good.

It is a pity that so many people have such hatred in their hearts that
not going to expand their own minds learning
cultures outside their own. It is a pity that so many people who obviously have never seen this movie
used their time and energy to this type of film to 1.
How pathetic is that? I am glad that this film was a financial success,
despite the "haters". I feel for the type of people who would
that the dissemination of hate a part of their lives.

You can see by some of the comments made by some of the IMDb
commentators, so to speak, who never saw this movie.
It is also obvious that they know nothing of the theme of this movie, reinforcement.
These are the people who might want to see this film and learn from
something new.

For my part, am not a big fan of "Greek" organizations. Still, I thought that
messages, the proceedings in general and the implementation of
this film is better than anyone in this group of recent college
age / gender friendship movies.

I love films of all kinds, and I can honestly say that this is a solid
film of this genre. On the other hand, is new in this field, which makes
pairs is different from films.

If you're on the fence about seeing this movie. You should see. It
more or less what you think is from the trailers, but
version is a very well done.

I give the film a strong 7 / 10. For its genre, however, is as good as
there.
I thought this movie is not the best but still good. Even if the plot was
cliché, I was still shocked by some scenes. I think the film
was great to portray young black men in a positive way;
that are fully capable of obtaining an education and have excellent
passion for things like tradition and history, like all others.
This film is much more than dance. For me, is about the realization of you
mistakes and correct them, as well as achieving their full potential
and try to get the maximum benefit to that. It made me sad to think that
DJ had to endure a tragic event only to realize that the only way the
will succeed is by getting a good education and
trying hard to overcome. I loved the intensification of the scenes, as I have seen before
Step (Our school has its own team) and is incredible. I also love the parties
DJ thinks back to his past with his younger brother. I started to mourn
thinking about it. I can not imagine living with the fact that my brother died
partly because of me. It may not have engaged in the fight if
DJ had not wanted to stay longer. "This is not about you,
is on the team." This quotation was lurking forever and I feel so bad for him
, although it is only a movie!
