On a day like any other in the middle of the summer a nurse named Ana just wants to spend some time with her husband,Luis.But something goes horribly wrong when Luis is bitten and Ana has to run to keep from dying.She wrecks her car and is saved by a cop named Kenneth.They run into a small group of survivors consisting of Michael a TV salesmen,Andre a common thug,and Luda who happens to be Andre's pregnant wife.But what happens when the dead find the mall and have a craving for possibly the only living people left in the world?All Hell breaks loose.A small group of survivors manages to get into the Mall with the others but some are bitten which starts a controversy.Should they be killed or not?And thats just the beginning.You cant forget about the gun salesman,Andy living across the street.But what really gets the most attention is how to get Andy food.Then Nicole takes off for her dog and is cornered by bitten Andy.So the gang sneaks over and stocks up on ammo before killing Andy and saving Nicole.Now the gang runs back to the Mall and leaves in two buses that they heavily armored.The movie ends as they kick off in a boat.The death toll for the group is amazing.Norma,Monica,Michael,CJ,Andy and many others.Will they survive or die?Maybe a sequel will tell.

Returning from a busy day in the hospital, Ana spends time with her husband

neighbors when a child reaches the house and attacks on her husband.

dies before returning to life and attacking Ana. She escapes and runs into

his car, driving through a neighborhood full of violence and fires. After crashing his car
, hooks with an armed group of survivors who take refuge in
a shopping mall. The group settle in and strengthen its position as an Army

not to gather outside.

Before starting my analysis, let me say that this will be biased as I am
always won easily in movies zombies. The fact that follow
coming (fast or slow), lack of character and just want to kill
just really freaks me out. Hence, tend to get easily scared gender (even if
`enjoy '
perhaps not the right word) and be more easily
negligent towards his failures. Despite tell you that I will not bother with this movie as it

that frightened me, I went anyway in an attack of `face their fears'

kind of stupidity ! The film begins with a creepy opening and quite

manages to keep up the pace for the entire film. It is, like the zombies, moves fast and brutally
everything and is very, very tense.

Others have complained about the lack of gore - though I found the graphic

exploding head to do that more than enough for my liking! Better than

Gore is the atmosphere. The use of images news is not original but
success
(along with the aerial view of the city) to create the impression of a world turning to
sh * t. I do not know about you but I am afraid and
film did so well. The speed of the zombie attacks makes it a thrilling ride
and it did make me very tense - Snyder succeeded in making the entire film

a threat (especially for a first time director) and I honestly
is very stiff neck one day after seeing this simply because my body was stretched up to

entire movie!

The pace of the film also serves to cover the real problems in terms of content and
plot. Unlike the original no satirical swipe on consumerism -

the fact that zombies are just wandering aimlessly around the mall as they

used in life is quite ignored here - but the times are very different
suppose that now. The plot itself is also quite different times that stupid

the characters act in a way that you know not in real life. For example
people will suicide missions for little real reasons and can tell

that the script is only done to create more action. However, when you're
there, these things really does not seem to matter. The film may be a little

silly when you think about it but has a good ending - and downbeat

realistic (or at least as realistic as you can!) And left me

without hope of a happy ending - in this sense is everything that `28 days later .."
is not.

The cast is good but the script from their places of the minor characters

action. Polley is used for something more substantial roles, but not yet
well here. Rhames is LUMBER with a religious background that is never explained
, but it's a great presence throughout the territory. Weber is the standout
However role. His character is a little less animated version of Evil Dead
Ash. He is the reluctant hero, but still seemed to accept all
obstacles that comes across. It also manages to be one of the groups that

public cares about - most of them are fodder and we know it! Phifer is

a good actor, but seemed too `gangster" to really be taken to this degree of
his family. The rest of the supporting cast are mostly just there to get eaten

but they do OK.

In general this is not a great movie - but it is an effective way. As a film

it lacks subtext, commentary and plot logic. However, as a thriller,
pace is fast, gripping and tense with a satisfyingly grim conclusion. Snyder

does a good job as a first timer and creates an atmosphere that is gripping

even if it lacks originality. As I said, not dealing with zombie movies

very well and I am easily frightened but I reckon that this should satisfy many
Saturday evening seeking excitement crowd but does nothing for your brain
than risk is getting eaten up.
I've been in thousands of films in my own life and
hundreds of videos and DVDs, so I am a fan, but not bona fide film critic. This is my first review
online.

My wife and I saw the original Dawn of the Dead 25 years ago at a midnight show
left and enough cable to talk among themselves until morning.
Perhaps a quarter century we have been inured to violence and a little

we only looked at again (video rental) last week before yesterday
company
the multiplex premises to see the remake / "reimagining" and were mostly unperturbed
to revise.

For some reason, I was hooked into the new dawn of the claim
months ago and then the trailer. The Sparklehorse in the song
former
fit perfectly and the suburban shooting followed by Vivian murderer and closure
with the projector burned last film was intriguing in its own way
.
So I was prepared to see the movie, usually a recipe for disaster since
preview expectations are rarely fulfilled by the finished product.
This time, however, were.

The cast is uniformly credible and, most importantly, empathizable (
at least the good guys who are sorted out along the way). Even the visceral
playboy and had several lines relevant. Polley is a good, strong women
lead (with another great rebuttal - "No, I'm a nurse *" to a question about his personal physician
qualified) and a cheerable Rhames, if reluctant, hero. The
camaraderie, as it was, worked, visceral and I gave first-survival

way more often for self-sacrifice.

hence, what does not like? The fundamental premise that has a classic
renewed?
not wash. These are two different movies with the same name and similar

local, but very different attitudes. (Best special effects
not hurt, either
, despite this new version is strangely without worrying less
munching zombies in dismembered body parts.) Speedy zombies (with the exception of
" ; twitchers ")? No problem; hey, who are hungry and, as always, persistent.
My attention was held for the better part of two hours, the story was interesting
; mixed results; characters emerged from the task at hand
ever coolly rational division between life and death and
zombiedom; weirdly appropriate music, the black humor welcome respite.
No, Dawn of the Dead is not Citizen Kane is not a sacrilegious assault
ignition
the horror genre. It is solid film and entertainment
reflection. Otherwise, I suspect Romero never have put his imprimatur
in the remake.
