Honey Danels (Jessica Alba) is a 22-year-old, sexy, tough-minded, part-black, part-Latina hip-hop dancer in New York's East Harlem who dreams of making it big as a music video choreographer. She teaches hip-hop dancing at a local youth center and encourages the local kids to attend to keep them off the streets and out of trouble. When luck shines on Honey in the form of a famous music video director, named Michael, who casts her in one music video, she's encouraged to make the transition from dancer to choreographer. But Honey's sudden success comes with a price when Michael refuses to take "no" for an answer to his sexual advances and then tries to sabotage her career by blackballing her out of the business.

In a poor neighbourhood, the choreographer Honey Daniels (Jessica Alba)
works in a record shop during the day and as a waiter in a night club in
the night shift, and teaches dance to adolescents
their community. She dreams to succeed as a video-clip dancer. When she meets
video director Michael Ellis (David Moscow), she cree
that their dreams have come true. When Michael reveals his true intentions
with her, she decides to fight for their dreams
really do come true.

I have just seen "Honey" because the name of Jessica Alba in
cast. Fortunately I did not pay attention to the unfair and very
IMDb underestimate User Rating. "Honey" is indeed a charming and pleasant
feel good movie. It is certainly not a masterpiece, and that
will never be suitable for an Oscar, but it is not his intention.
"Honey" is above all a great tribute to hip-hop, with the participation of many
stars as Tweet, Missy Elliott, Blaque,
Jadakiss, Ginuwine among others, and impressive choreographs dance. The
story has a good message that we must all strive to make dreams come true
. The stunning Jessica Alba is wonderful in the role of Honey.
The story may be corny bitter for spectators, with most of the characters is pretty
; horrible, for those who have prejudices against the poor
or hip-hop, or for a large spectator appreciate a great show
like me. The music is fantastic, and the DVD released in Brazil
Universal is exceptional, full of wonderful extras. My vote is
eight.

credit 'Honey' at least you have your heart in the right place - although
your brain is not always so easy to find. The ever sunny and optimistic
Honey Daniels has two functions increasingly agitated in his life - a waiter for a night
and hip hop dance day. She has hopes of one day
appearing in a music video, a dream that comes true that catches the eye when
time a large producer named Michael Ellis. Not only is a Honey
to crush his first appearance on video, but Michael immediately hired as his
choreographer of one of its projects. As is typical in these
strive and succeed "Robinson Crusoe," "Honey soon discovers that success is not all it is cracked up
when Michael reveals his true color, creating

Only the most Scrooge-like curmudgeon could oppose the positive
laudatory wordings, pull-yourself-up-of-the-bootstraps message of the film is trying to convey
, and one that would frankly be inhuman not to feel lifted by
the final dance sequence. But good intentions and noble aspirations not
in and of themselves, to make a quality film, and `Honey 'is a long way
installation of the bill. The film wants to be taken seriously as a
realistic view of urban life but very little of what we see increasingly rings true, starting with Honey
that it, together with his behavior invariably perky, seems
as a cross between Little Mary Sunshine and Mother Teresa in an appropriate manner
jeans and matching halter top. Everything that happens with it -
his meteoric ascent into the world of music videos for purchase of an empty warehouse for
his new dance studio for the benefit of performance she and her dancers stage
gather money for the project - especially come too easily and with virtually no effort
remarkable for its part. Never believe for a moment
that none of this would happen this way in the real world. In this way, 'Honey'
is really little more than an urban fairy tale, fine for children,
suppose, but not of much use for adults with a more pragmatic understanding of how
real life.

Jessica Alba is not great shakes as an actress, although she has an infection
a smile and bubbly conduct that work well on screen. But it is
Zachary Williams, as the adorable, gap-toothed eight-year-old Raymond, who steals the show
. Now that is a hell of a beloved
little kid.
