A psychiatrist (Gere) has an affair with his patient's sister (Basinger) who is married to a Greek mobster (Roberts). The mobster is a tyrant over his wife. The psychiatrist wants her to get a divorce, but she is afraid of what her husband would do. She has a medical condition that becomes apparent when she drinks. One night she drinks anyway and attacks her husband. The psychiatrist uses his professional pull to try and help her out of the consequences of her actions, but becomes uncertain if she is telling him the truth.

It is one of those movies that I never care back in the early 90, but
reviewing rents for the former one pounds to successful
I thought it was worth a purchase to revisit with eyes older. Well, unfortunately, still
not grab me with all urgency and still comes across as poor mans
Hitchcock movie, and one of the great man probably discarded
himself.

The story works on a basic level thriller, and some decent sequences
worth the 5 / 10 to give the film score, but the film suffers
to extract the characters too time in the first hour, then
finish with the best spectacle of nature, I mean everyone loves a bad boy
, but here Eric Roberts villain in turn is the bright light, and that < br> leaves such a hole in the film when you never get
recover. The rest of the cast are nothing more than the average, I like Richard Gere,
actually am a fan, but he is going through now and the proposals of resolution, while the
Keith David Overd solid and its role becomes annoying
reached the final reel. Kim Basinger is beautiful, but struggles to put any conviction
in a layer of paper called devilment?, Uma Thurman is fresh and honest
but she also stuck by the maudlin writing.

Nice sets, ending nice, shame on its core, 5 / 10.
This film does not start a little slow, but builds up in your order
and intensity. The way the story was told that even
highly suspect that anything is wrong until they leave. The plot twists and turns are enough to keep
on the edge of your seat. This is the kind of film Alfred Hichcock
would have done if he had still been living in 1992. At one point the fund
think it is straight out of "Vertigo". The music even Result
sounds like Bernard Herrmann. This is a very entertaning
suspense thriller "The Master" would have been proud, and I am Shure many are
entertaning.
"Final Analysis" makes for a great night of entertainment.
