Following the suicide of his wife (Amy Irving), David Callaway (Robert De Niro
) took his 9-year-old mentally ill daughter, Emily (Dakota Fanning
) to a new home in the country in New York. Instead of improving
, Emily begins to retreat further and announced
to her father that she has a new imaginary friend called Charlie. "
At first, his father sees Charlie as a form of Emily
to express their feelings. Then, a series of perverse acts such as threatening letters
appearing on the bathroom walls, and other mysterious occurrences start
happening around the house. David blames Emily for doing so, but
Emily said that Charlie did. But Charlie is imaginary? You have to ask
Emily, who alone can see Charlie. Charlie May
actually be both real and very dangerous. The film is well developed and
suspense with a great cast. For a thriller, I did jump a few times.
The end was a little disappointing, but not unpredictable. (20 st Century Fox

When I first saw the preview for Hide and Seek, I thought it was just another child
creepy movie. but after going to see
with a clear mind, I was pleasantly surprised. The film was well developed and suspenseful
with incredible performances by the cast. Dakota Fanning
played a strong young man who develops a dangerous "imaginary" friend named Charlie
. His father (Money) moves with her to a remote location
out of town for a fresh start after his wife's suicide.

I loved the first hour of this movie. The characters are real
depth and impact of what the nature of Fanning had seen were wonderfully
shown. Neighbors were introduced and seemed very creepy.

Okey, now the second hour ... Why? Why? The writers had
many ways to go, why they do the second personality ending? For those who had not seen
, dad was Charlie. Not even the lazy routine
ending that bothered me is that they had many other options! one
the couple who lost her son. The father saw him talking to his daughter
. When he went to his house, spoke with the neighbor who broke
wife, saying that her husband did something wrong. What
that about? Moreover, the neighbor who was returning to a key 3 a.m.
seemed very suspicious. With any of these terminations, could have
fear the public with the modern fear of kidnapping and child abduction
. But it was with alternate personality.

This film leaves the audience who want their money back and wonder why
not see "Earnest goes to the beach" instead. Writing is incompatible
, leaving loose ends with the neighbor's stories. I suggest
watching the first hour, and then leave or change the channel (if
seeing on television).
