It all begins in a small Oregon town, when shy Sam (RORY CULKIN) confesses to his protective older brother Rocky that he is getting pummeled daily by the towering school bully, George. Together, they plan the perfect payback, inviting George on a birthday river trip tailor-made to end in the bully's humiliation. Rocky's pals Clyde and Marty and Sam's budding girlfriend Millie also join the journey, which starts almost immediately with misgivings. Seeing George in a new light, as a lonely kid desperate for friendship and attention, Sam wants to call the whole thing off. But the boat and the plot are already in motion, and no one can foresee the surprises and accidents that are to come.

Mean Creek is an amazing film. It's so refreshing to see a good film
worthless when there are so many around the present. There are many things
best half-Creek, and some not so good things.
The writing is excellent, the direction is great. The acting is so well
fact, it seems more real than half the "reality" television programs on television today.
young actors who comprise Trevor Morgan, Ryan Kelley, Scott
Melchowitz, Rory Culkin, Carley Shroader, and Josh Peck. I was blown away
of their performances. There is another thing that makes half
Creek something unique. This is the cinematography (sp?). Most of the action of the
the film takes place in one day, and in a ravine. The filming of
Creek is so wonderful, there are great photos of the creek itself, the
water, forests around them, and there are some great pictures of animals
to call home Creek. The theme of average Creek
extreme and dramatic, which is another reason for astonishment at the
young actors in this movie! The main theme revolves around themes
of forgiveness and revenge. The first five children from a simple plan
trick revenge by the bully, however, something horrible happens are all
children are forced to an extremely difficult situiton
in only a matter of minutes. The end is a bit ambiguous and open-ended.
That, I think that is good in a way, but I would have liked more
closure on the fate of children. I am surprised at the lack of
representation in the award of this photo shows. Frankly, I think this movie
in undervalued and under considered, because it is an indie
and this is a debut directors.
With a child cast, which is similar to "walk me."
A group of children plot to pay back the school bully years of abuse. They take
him on a journey by boat. If you want more, go see.
This is the best movie I've seen this year. Throughout the duration of this classic, one element
stuck out to me: Carly Schroeder. She is going to be a star
and a half. She blows that annoying cherry blossom, Dakota Fanning,
outside. Rory Culkin, Macauly's younger brother, was perfect for
part of a naive child, may lead to his older brother's dominant
testosterone. Go see this movie, because you can talk about it for
hours. Perfect dinner movie. Take your girlfriend, boyfriend, significant other
. Children under 13 years, although portrayed in the film, only
are not ready for the material for this movie, so do not bring your
children.
