Even in a world populated entirely by mechanical beings Rodney Copperbottom (McGregor) is considered a genius inventor. Rodney dreams of two things, making the world a better place and meeting his idol, the master inventor Bigweld (Brooks). On his journey he encounters Cappy (Halle Berry), a beautiful executive 'bot with whom Rodney is instantly smitten, the nefarious corporate tyrant Ratchet (Kinnear) who locks horns with Rodney, and a group of misfit 'bots known as the Rusties, led by Fender (Williams) and Piper Pinwheeler (Bynes).

"Robots" is the latest computer animated film from the creators
of the Ice Age. Like many films of the same gender, "Robots" offers a new
artistic style and a large cast of voice talents, all of which make
quite entertaining guests at any episode of Saturday Night Live
... However "Robots" is more a sight to see a movie that's going on -
experience to fully enjoy.

Rodney (Ewen McGregor, Big Fish) is a robot born (or rather built)
to become an inventor. Like his idol Big Weld (Mel Brooks)
encourages, Rodney cree anyone can shine no matter what you're made of
. This belief is put to the ultimate test when Rodney leaves home to
Robot City in hopes of obtaining employees at Big Weld the large corporation as a
inventor. Rodney learns the hard way how hard it can be for Robot City
the average robot ... especially under the new management where management
means to dispose of obsolete Robots and reducing
scrap metal. With the help of a robot rusty crew including Robin Williams and Amanda Bynes
, Rodney will go on an adventure to turn in Robot City
the dream that always imagined it to be.

As you can tell, "Robots" is a film with heart, what do you expect for a film directed
for a family audience. He also had some amusing moments,
and, as expected, were mostly contributed to Robin robot character.
There is also little details that got good laughs ... Robot City
would not be complete without a robot doing the robot. Once again, art in
"Robots" also deserves credit using darker color schemes that allowed
for a better idea of Robots world. The design of the city was also impressive
: intricate modes, the ability to lead a
conversation with a traffic light, and a mailbox on foot
you know by name ... However

his class as a new president deal with the
States ... it may seem beautiful, new dress with her hair well combed, and
likely to have a good message. But the message is as good as it
delivery. This is probably a bad analogy, but if "Robots" and
"Monsters, Inc." ran for president would be a victory for the party
Pixar.

I compare the two films with good reason. Both films offer
completely new worlds: a world of Robots and a monster world. Both films feature
major cities that are heavily dependent on their existence in the production of a major corporation
, Big Weld of Robot City and Monsters, Inc. for
Monstropolis. There is only one important difference: Monstropolis
Robot makes sense and not the City.

You might wonder why it makes sense, it is wrong? Any Joe Schmoe on the street
face in acid can make a film about some
make-believe world, but its even more onerous task of making a world where
things not only make sense, but are also required to make the world
plausible. Monstropolis works: both the city itself, as well as the
things that went into the compost city. With Robot City
there are too many questions: Why? How?! What the hell is that? What? Who
I refer my question to Halle Berry character that will be charged up and forced
to be an integral part of the plot, but only has about 4-5 lines throughout the entire
film.

I give it a note that 4 out of 10 because I am halfway with this movie. Hopes
cool but it did not. Like a beautiful girl with no personality.
It can be really fun, but sometimes it is a bit difficult. What is ironic Robots
lacks originality. Even Robin Williams' character was a
something that reminds the Aladdin Genie without comedy
usefulness of shapeshifting. It was a good attempt, but ultimately
"Robots" is, unfortunately, recycling of scrap metal.
Of course, this is primarily a film for children, but as you probably have read many times
, there is enough humor aimed at adults to keep
while entertaining with the children. This is certainly good for all ages.

Stars Ewan McGregor as Rodney Copperbottom, but it is clearly
That Robin Williams steals the film as Fender. The eclipse clearly
McGregor, Halle Berry, Amanda Bynes, Mel Brooks, Greg Kinnear
and all others involved. Of course, this is really about the animation.
About Robots is exquisite. The time and effort
that should have entered into making this film is surprising.

I read a couple of observations and comments regarding
Williams is annoying, but that is absolutely false 100%! I thoroughly enjoyed
performance William, which is saying something considering that only
is his voice. Robot marketing of William's character was not misleading.
is exactly as seen in trailers. If you thought it was annoying, why
see it? Some people need smart until I suppose.

I do not think the haters here. Most just want to go against the grain. If you do not enjoy
Williams performance in the trailer, then please
not be disappointed when you see the same thing in the movie.
I can honestly say that this is a great movie-going experience to the entire world.
