(action, horror, sci-fi, thriller)
More than a half-century after the events of 'Alien', Warrant Officer Ripley - the sole survivor of the Nostromo - is discovered adrift in the shuttle she used to escape. By now, the Company - Ripley's employer - has colonized the planet where the alien was found. Intent on covering up its illegal actions of years before, the Company strips Ripley of her flight officer's license. But when transmissions from the colony stop without warning, she is called into action again - this time with a group of Space Marines. Now the alien menace is hundreds of times larger, more insidious, and all but invincible. The sole survivor of the Nostromo re-enters a world of sudden, unspeakable horror - one that attacks without warning again and again and again.

I am just going to add my voice to the chorus of praise for this movie.
It's as close to perfect as any I have ever seen. I will not say
which is much better than Alien - which is nearly
be perfect too. But I do love all the characters in this movie.
I have rarely seen a movie where all the characters were so well developed.
Even more serious dramas rarely develops each character so completely.
None of these characters are stereotypes even as Paul Reiser Burke, although the company
viscose man / villain government is a prerequisite to
type of disaster movies. I would say that my favorite is Michael Beihn
as Hicks, just because I like their work and consider him to
be underestimated. But I also like Lance Henriksen as the bishop, William Hope
as Lieutenant Gorman, Bill Paxton as Hudson, and of course,
Jenette Goldstein as Vasquez. I really liked all these characters. I
care about their lives and deaths. The final scene of Gorman & Vasquez
still chokes me up after seeing many times.
I'm not ignoring or Sigourney Weaver, Carrie Henn. Ripley is the
template for the modern action heroine. In the 24 years since Alien,
few have been able to live up to Sigourney Weaver's Ripley. Even
Alien 3 & 4, Ripley is still powerful, despite the quality 3ED rate
films. As for Carrie Henn as Newt, who was the emotional center of
Aliens. Cameron ability to develop well-rounded characters
not at the expense of its ability to create great action scenes or to scare the audience
several years of growth.
There are really good films, then you should select some
that change his life. For me films like Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, JFK,
Titanic and Star Wars made. Seeing a movie that sees life in another light
. Foreigners also brought to me. I do not think a movie could frighten me as much as
Halloween, but this made a doubt, does that and more. The
atmosphere of this movie, and lighting and cinematography and of course
address are first class, and some of the scenes are some of the scariest
I've seen in my life. But what puts this movie over the top as one of
the biggest all-time movies ever made is the casting.
Sigourney Weaver is terrible but it's supporting cast and their shining
makes you feel like you know the crew to address this
desolate planet.
Paul Reiser is perfect as Burke, viscose business kiss ass
who cares about profits before human lives. Lance Henriksen shines as a bishop,
cyborg with a heart. Jeanette Goldstein is the rough around the edges
female sailors who owns most of its own with all the testosterone floating around
and Michael Biehn (Cameron another favorite) is the perfect
quiet leader that leads by example rather than a high
demonstrative voice. But the show stopper in this movie (as he always
is in any movie that is) is Bill Paxton.
Paxton and Cameron have worked on Terminator 1, True Lies, Titanic and
Bill Aliens and is one of those actors who steals the scenes of each participant and
was always a recognizable face, even before Titanic. In this sense, his character is Hudson
comic relief, but it is also perhaps one of the real
characters that everyone can identify. His tough exterior is nothing more than
to camouflage its fragile internal fear. He realizes the dire situation
who are all in it and can not conceal his fear. When he discovers that
not be rescued for at least seventeen days, his
the answer is "Hey man, we will not survive 17 hours man!
Those things are going to come here and they will arrive and we ..... "(Ripley
) This little girl survived for more than that unarmed and not
military training. "(Hudson)" Why not put back in his office!
"
Paxton is a gift to each and every film that is in and this is their best
work. He should have won a best actor that year. And if
have not seen this movie, are quick to see if only by Bill Paxton. The
steals the show. But while a wound, brilliant and incredibly technical
Scary Movie is your thing, then you can not go wrong here. This is a facility
ten out of ten, and one of the best ever made. If Spielberg is King
is Hollywood, then Cameron is his heir apparent. Oh, and one more thing,
Paxton win an Oscar one day.
