In the year 2065, the next great assault against an invading race of phantom-like aliens is about to be launched. Dr. Aki Ross, a brilliant young scientist, races to find the invaders' secrets, not only to save the planet, but herself as well after her body is infected by alien particles. She teams up with the prestigious Deep Eyes military squadron, led by her old friend Grey Edwards. But as Aki, her mentor Dr. Sid, and Grey work toward a peaceful end, the scheming General Hein devises a plot to eradicate the aliens in one swift, destructive blow...even if it destroys the Earth right along with them.

I've never played the computer game, and knew nothing about it.
I was drawn to this movie because of the bold animations, but did not expect the film
to do anything for me beyond mere entertainment.
I was pleasantly surprised. The excellent voice talent and impressive animation
Final Fantasy allow you to draw as well as live-action version would
. It's easy to forget that the characters you
is being animations, and action is CGI.

A meteor has beaten earth, bringing with it the ghosts
strip away the vital energy of those who contact. Dr. Aki Ross and his mentor Dr
CED are locked in a confrontation against the land to the armed forces, whose
solution to this invasion can be worse than the invasion itself,
and ghosts that seem mysterious have no specific purpose and
can not be fought by conventional means. As a follow-up to a
quasi-mystical theory of Dr CED, which was proposed collecting 8 of life
spirits to be used to harness the power of life on earth
defence of the planet.

This film is dark and beautiful, with every scene of a masterpiece
the art of animation. It feels less like a computer game that
an immersion experience in an alternative universe.

A quick action of the film, Final Fantasy combines elements of folklore,
science and the battle of animated sequences in a successful, well-balanced and well
its pace of cinema. It is probably the most serious computer game
inspired by the film I've seen.
I do not know why almost all the critics bash this movie.
I thought it was great! The main reasons people have been harassed is because
not follow the plot and I do not think that the animation is quite real.

I did not have any trouble following the plot. The second word in
"Final Fantasy" is a description of the type of film is this. This is
with the supernatural. The spirits, or "essences" of the earth gathered
to fight abroad Gaia, such as arms and weapons used against foreign
spirits are ineffective and indeed destructive.

This film introduced me to the concept of Gaia, which I think is a great metaphor
to understand how all forms of life on Earth shares a common spirit
. I do not think that really is a Gaia, and you do not
the need either to enjoy this movie. But perhaps some found that this too
in conflict with their beliefs.

Now in terms of animation, this is the more realistic picture of human characters
so far generated by a computer. If any
watch anime movies, where there are a lot of action, will show a framework for
long time with only their mouths move. People enjoy them.
So why is this movie so heavily criticized for not looking real
enough? It is quite ironic. You should see this movie expecting a
animation, not the entire film with real actors.

One explanation for this reaction is that, like figures in a wax museum
, characters who seem very real, but we are not creep out because
that remind us of dead. But perhaps this is appropriate for this
movie, because the soul of the earth is sick and life on the planet
is coming to an end.

Anyway, I liked this movie, and I liked the message. If you like
animation and enjoy a good fantasy story, you will like this movie.
