The wide generation gap between Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her teenage daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) is more than evident. They simply cannot understand each other's preferences. On a Thursday night they have a big argument in a Chinese restaurant. Both receive a fortune cookie each from the restaurant owner's mother which causes them to switch bodies next day. As they adjust with their new personalities, they begin to understand each other more and eventually it's the mutual self-respect that sorts the things out.

At first he could not understand why this was the version to see. That does not seem
better than Shelley Long / Gaby Hoffmann version
I enjoyed years ago. Lindsay Lohan was a holy terror and his mother was simply
uptight but nothing special. But, of course, all that changed when the magic spell
entered into force and Anna woke up horrified.

There are many deserving performances, most dramatic, which
Oscar nominations each year. It's easier for a movie like this to get recognition when
comedy has its own categories. But Jamie Lee Curtis
It was incredible. This strange sight, this middle-aged woman who acts as a
son! Perhaps Oscar would be asking too much because of competition,
Curtis, but it certainly deserves a Golden Globe nomination. And
Lindsay Lohan did a job in terms of the mother of a teenager in the body,
trying so hard to fit into the school.

Harold Gould performance must also be taken into account. He made a good
likable buffoonish grandfather. I liked Rosalind Chao's CLUELESS,
almost stereotypical restaurant hostesses. Lucille Soong made us notice
Chao as the meddling mother who had to help this family. And
Jeff Marcus as one of Tess of patients with more problems.

Although the musicians showed talent, I will say I agree with the first
Tess has opinion of his daughter of music. Everything was just noise!
I liked the music for the wedding test.

I still want to see the original Jodie Foster, and twice I was
annoying that someone felt the need to do a remake rather than show the original
. But this was a really worthwhile!
Look. . . I am especially in science fiction, fantasy, action thriller, and special effects films
(ie, Matrix, LOTR, identity, Star Wars, etc.) and
generally try to avoid
elegant flicks and warm-fuzzy feel good movies. After seeing the current
Freaky Friday starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan now

I understand why.

see, I am a boy, and boys do not cry, well, that's what has been reported. Turning

at any time) to understand why this film had such a profound effect on my emotions
. Maybe it's because my parents never understood me (
I certainly understand now), or maybe it's because I have a couple
daughters and I have rarely tried to put myself in their shoes. This film
achieved that, for me, big time. . . the last exercise of empathy.

The interplay between mother and daughter was superbly acted and very credible
especially with the switching of roles. Moreover, the characters
support from the younger brother, the bridegroom, the grandfather, even
detention monitor at the school were also made and outstanding

this story of a real winner .

I can honestly say that this is in my top 20 favorite movies of all time

and I will certainly buy the DVD when it becomes available. I can not believe I've been

saying all this about a film way out of my usual genre but in this case is, in
writing. Please see this movie, and then tell me that I'm not losing it.
