200 years in the future a Martian police unit is dispatched to transport a dangerous prisoner from a mining outpost back to justice. But when the team arrives they find the town deserted and some of the inhabitants possessed by the former inhabitants of the planet.

I am not a fan of some naive que cree que Carpenter can not do anything wrong. I did not care much for
Vampires or Village of the damned (they were good, but
the scripts for those two were not up to snuff for a great director as
Carpenter). However, I think Ghosts of Mars is one of his greatest films.
If you can not appreciate this film then you can not appreciate
Carpenter, IMO. Lovecraftian of the history and atmosphere, the
anamórfico photography, to the excellent music, everything here is
Carpenter. Let us hope that this film will find its audience, over time, rather
to be forgotten. One criticism of Carpenter I've never been able to
understand is that people said it was not subtle, que se basa only
clashes and violence. Yes, his films have clashes and violence are the
release of all the mechanisms of terror that accumulates slowly, Neanderthals!
Some film critics are simply too good to americas horror, unable Stoop
your level of their lofty perch.
